The tv started to make clicking noises and now it wont turn on

That usually indicates that your power supply has gone bad. The clicking sound you hear is your power supply not getting enough current to turn on your screen. Could be a simple fix as a bad capacitor but not sure? If you can pin point that problem being your power supply, it is some times cheaper to just replace the power supply board but it depends how old your TV is and if the power supply unit is available.

Short circuited component/s at its main board. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy.

TV needs lamp replacement as existing lamp got weak or has been reached to end of its working life, please note that lamp is not dead or broken so that is why lamp lit is not lit at tv front.

this could be the power supply board

Replace any swolen capacitors in power board.

The clicking noise is solonid which should be energising the starter and it isn't.

tv wont turn on when i hit power it makes the clicking noise like it is going to turn on, but never does and the red timer light next to the power button just flashes.

When you turn your tv off turn it off using the remote control then turn off the tvs switch itself... Try this for a few days hope it works for you.
