I see the problem but don't know how to fix it. When I twist the outer bezel to hammer, on the inside it moves a lever into the drill position. When moving back to simple drill operation, I don't see what moves the lever so the hammer is disabled. The yellow bezel kicks it one way (into hammer operation0 but doesn't kick it back.
SOURCE: Matika hammer drill - bit stuck
The spade bit sold with the hammer drill was actually too large for the hammer drill. We found that the spade bit had over heated (not from overuse or heavy use as only two ladies were using the hammer drill) but because the bit was too large it put too much weight on the drill. The bit had to be removed from the chuck using a hammer and force causing a bearing to come out and the chuck now needs repair. Solution repair the chuck on the hammer drill and buy a lighter spade bit. Then continue jackhammering the cement out of the shower cubicle.

The TE-70 is permantly lubricated. You would only add lubricant if you took the tool apart. You can add a small amount of grease to the end of your bit occasionally before putting in the chuck. This keeps the chuck parts lubed.

I am assuming you are talking about
not being able to move the "Mode Control Collar" and unless you can
get it out of hammer mode, you will not be able to change the torque collar
either. If you feel comfortable taking it
apart AND its no longer under warranty, my best guess without seeing the tool will
be part# N026313 Gear Case Assembly. It costs about $80.00 US Hopefully its under warranty, if so
you can go to http://servicenet.dewalt.com/ServiceCenter/Search to locate nearest service center. Good luck Sorry I wasn
SOURCE: Dewalt dw511 hammer drill won't hammer, only
The hammer inside the drill head are most likely damaged ans/or broken, it is likely the best thing to do is just replace the tool.
