I don't have the exact model number of my refrigerator before me, but whenever I close the refrigerator door, the freezer door pops open.

The fastest solution is to smear a very small amount of Vaseline around the REFRIGERATOR DOOR SEAL this will help hold the door sealed when the freezer door is opened and closed again.

That's normal. Don't shut it so hard. The only thing you can do to remedy this, is to replace the doorseals but, that's a pain, especially if they aren't very worn.

GE refrigerator model #LTC19340ST freezer door not sealing

That is a common problem with over-under units. You can clean or replace the door seal or, tilt the unit back a TINY bit. The door pops open because there is a common airway from the freezer to the fridge. When the fridge door shuts too fast, it pushes a lot of air into the unit. It needs to go somewhere so, it pops the freezer door open. If you shut the freezer hard enough, you will be able to pop the fridge door open.

Need gaskets for CSX20E Hotpoint side by side

Seals don't lose their magnetism. Check the door closes all the way round and adjust the hinges if it doesn't sit straight. Check there isn't a relief valve frozen up or blocked (it allows air to escape when the doors are closed). Check the drawers are fully pushed back in and not stopping the door closing properly

Freezer door opens when fridge door is closed

that is common, your pushing air back into the other side and that pops the door. First adjust the ref so that the back sits lower than the front. It will have 2 5/16th nuts on the front behind the kickplate. going left will lower the back of the unit. After that get out some vasoline and lube up the flat sides of the door seal, this will help keep the seal moist and it wont pop open as easy

Freezer won't stay shut

If you want a part number for the replacement door gasket please provide a complete model number here so I can give that to you or you can look it up yourself at www.searsdirect.com You must have your model number. (sample 110.XXXXX etc)

The magnet is inside the door seal itself. If the seal is damaged replacement is your only option.

The freezer part keeps popping open whenever you close the fridge part. How can I fix this?

The magnets in the freezer door arent making good contact, try adjusting the front legs up to make the fridge lean back slightly

Freezer door stays ajar after closing the refrigerator door.

The lower hinge on each door may have a door closing cam. It raises the door up ¼ inch when opening and this assist in closing the door. If it’s wore out and doesn’t work the door may not seal and the gasket can be damaged. Watch the operation of the door to see if it rises up when opened.

Leave the door shut and let the magnetic gasket hold the door in place. Put something between the bottom of the door and the floor to hold it in case it slips.
Remove the bracket holding the pin and hinge assembly taking note of order of removal of parts. Slide new cams on. You probably need two.

I have a top freezer. Whenever the refrigerator door is closed, the freezer door pops open. There appears to be a good seal around each door... How do I keep the freezer door from poping open, when...

Replace the seals. It may appear to be in good shape but what is happening is the compressed air from closing the refer door is going up and releasing the seal on the freezer I would replace the freezer seal first as that should solve your problem.

Frost inside freezer door

there is a small electric heater along the door gasket where you see the frost building up, this heater has apparently stopped working. this will also cause the door to pop open due to a poor seal. feel around where the door gasket contacts the refrigerator and it should feel a little warm. if not then a service company can replace those heaters. should not be too expensive.
