-A communication failure has occurred between the two machines.
OR
-The user at the remote machine might have pressed the Stop button.
OR
-The call waiting service can cause this error. The click, heard for an incoming call, is actually a momentary disconnect of the line. Call waiting should not be used on a line with a fax machine.
OR
-The power at the remote machine has been interrupted or deliberately turned off, causing the fax session to be interrupted.

Try this steps to resolved the issue:
*disable Error Correction Mode (ECM)
-press Setup>Advance Fax Setup>ECM-turn it off
-Fax quality might be degraded.
*Set the host machine to receive at a slower transmission speed.
-press Setup>Advance Fax Setup>Fax Speed-change it to slow or medium

Comm Error 232

This is an error during faxing, typical of static on the line or poor line quality if you are on digital phone lines contact your service provider and request filter to install on the phone line. You can purchase a filter at radio shack, but make sure that your service provider recommends the filter.

In the mean time try changing the fax speed to medium and error correction mode off:
both of these options are under the fax setup/all faxes menu

Can not initialize ATIPDLXX library

That looks like a video display driver file for AMD/ATI graphics boards. You may want to visit AMD.com. They have a "Support" tab that allows you to download their Catalyst graphics suite. There should be an option to "auto detect" your video card. Choose that and let the system detect which driver you need for your operating System. This should hopefully reinstall your correct driver and take care of any errors you may have.

We have an HP L7780 and have problems rec. faxes - error 232

Hate to say it, but it means "Don't buy HP printers". You'll be a whole lot happier with Canon or Epson. I had no end of trouble with more than HP all-in-one. They just get flaky after awhile, and the software (particularly scanning) is terrible.

Error 232*

Error 232 Severity 16
Error message text Arithmetic overflow error for type %s, value = %f.
Explanation This error occurs when Adaptive Server detects an arithmetic overflow error during execution of a SQL statement. Arithmetic overflows occur when a variable has too few places to store the converted data. In particular, Error 232 is raised when an overflow occurs for a variable of datatype float.
Error 232 can occur during execution of the convert function. It can also occur during implicit conversion within Adaptive Server, either during a stored procedure run or during execution of a SQL statement which converts a float value to some other datatype.
Action Determine which variable is causing the problem based on the datatype reported in the error message output and the SQL statement on which the error occurred. If the error occurs within a stored procedure, an additional error message will be displayed showing the name of the stored procedure and the line number where the error occurred.
Increase the size of the variable that is causing the error. If it is in a procedure, re-create the procedure.
If this error occurs on a Sybase-supplied system stored procedure, contact Sybase Technical Support.

Error 232 receiving fax

fax error 232 indicates a communication failure between the sending and receiving units. I'd check for line noise on the phone (you can hear it as cracks and pops) If your fax line is not dedicated, any noise from another phone pickup or an answwering machine can cause the failure.
