When I place a new disc in the camera, I get a memory card error message.

  • kakima Jul 01, 2010

What kind of memory card? The DMC-TZ1 uses SD cards. If your card is larger than 2GB then it's actually an SDHC card. While an SDHC card will fit into an SD slot, it will not function.

If you are using an SD card, what happens when you try to format it in the camera?

You are right... it is a SDHC card. So, then I guess this 4 gig will not work.

That's because new cards must be formatted in the camera.

Hi - I am getting an error message when i switch on my Sony Cybershot dsc t9 saying access and then it flashes format error C13.01 - can you advise how to resolve?

It might be due to a bad contact of the placed memorycard.

1. Pull the memorycard out and in the camera several times and retry.
2. If not OK, format the card in the camera. If that does not work, format it in the computer.
3. Try another memorycard and recheck.

Error message Built in memory full. Also won't read memory card.

You need to format the internal memory with no card in the camera. Then, you need to format the memory card in the camera.

I just bought a new memory card but I keep getting "Internal Memory Full" message. How can I fix this problem.

Your camera is supported by: Memory card support : SD/MMC up to 2 Gigabyte. If you are using any other card your camera might give you an error message such as this one.

Try to format the memory card in my camera? NOTE this will delete all existing data on your card.
Do the following:
  1. Insert the memory card into the camera. Make sure the card is firmly seated (push in the card until it clicks into place).
  2. Turn on the camera.
  3. Press the Menu button, then go to the Setup Menu.
  4. Scroll up or down to the Format option, then press the OK button

Memory card error with new memory card

Hi there, welcome to FixYa.

Let's work on the camera first.
1) Turn the camera off and remove the battery and the card.
2) Put the battery back in without the card and turn it on.
3) Turn the camera off and insert the CF card.
4) Turn the camera back on again.
See if that takes the message away.

If it doesn't leave me a comment and we go to step 2.
If it does, thanks for coming to FixYa.
