Horizontal Lines on the Photos

My Kodak Z650 has suddenly started having horizontal lines on the pictures, both in live view but also on the photo itself. Ideas?

Hi,

You no need to fix this problem. This is a CCD failure and in some cases had been subject to a recall.Contact Kodak support this may be one of the recalls and replacement camera could be on its way. They will do it for free of cost.

Thank you !!

My Kodak Z650 is showing lines in bright photos????

Hi!
The shutter doesn't work - the leafs may be stuck or the shutter cable is broken. You should contact your local Kodak service center.

The symptoms you are describing are indicative of failure of the camera's CCD image sensor. In other words, the camera is defective. This is something you cannot fix yourself. As the camera is only 2 weeks old, you really don't need to be contacting Kodak at this point. Instead, take it back to the retailer that you bought it from for exchange (if an online retailer, email the retailer to arrange sending it back for exchange).
