I have a tom tom one and i cant figure how to turn the volume up

while the tom tom is in navagating a route mode for you it should be a matter of touching the screen and going to the options settings and finding the vloume settings

the clicking when u type?? You have to turn the volume off

Turn the GPS on. Tap on the LOWER LEFT square on the crseen. This hsould bring up the volume slide, that you can use to control the volume. Slide it to the RIGHT to INCREASE the volume.

With the unit turned on and displaying the map, tap the bottom left side of the screen.

A sliding bar will appear at the bottom of the screen. You can now adjust the volume to your desired level.

The volume menu is also available by tapping and entering 'Preferences menu'. You can also set the volume from here if you wish.

try swithching device off then back on. tap volume bar at bottom. if this does not work reset device by using small pin in base of sat nav, this is underneath and is a small hole which says reset by it.

call tom tom.. and meow at them. then tell them the problem while meowing at them in-between what your saying.

if the sound is non adjustable that might ****.

With music (or whatever)playing hold down V button (left hand side of control circle)til volume adjustment screen comes up-a blinking speaker. Press PRE or NEXT button (top and bottom arrows) to adjust volume.

1st of all what is it that you have there, a tom tom go? Sounds like a drum machine or keyboard with drum tempo. No reeeal solution here, except for suggesting that you check the company's website for info on access to a manual online, through snail mail or email.
I'm a musician myself, so i could relate about wanting to know how a high tech instrument works ...If that's what it is.

From the main menu tap preferences.

To change the volume, tap Volume preferences in the Preferences menu. You will probably see a little "speaker" icon with an X through it. Tap this to turn the sound back on.
To change the volume quickly while you are driving, tap the bottom left-hand section of the Driving View and move the slider.

To change the voice, tap Change Voice in the Preferences menu.

The lower left corner is usually a shortcut to access volume. Also, try going to preferences, and you can adjust volume within the audio/voices settings.
