Sharp viewcam hey, so i fixed the DEW problem, but now it says E007 still, but thats not the problem now it does not even record or play any types i have! i can look threw the camera but i dosen't record or play! any suggestions??

Dew sensor is defective and you need to replace it to fix the problem.

Thats great that you are technician. This dew sensor locates near video head assy area. you need to find it urself. this sensor looks like black carbon pattern on white cemented plate or yellowish flexible base. Main thing is it has only 2 points and can be recognise easily. just remove it and place 1k or 820 ohms resistor there. I am not sure about resistor value because it depends on circuit requirement. Hope this info helps you out.

I don't know if this will help, but when I leave the camera open with no tape in it for a day or so, "dew" goes away. Now I just store it open without a tape in it and have never had this problem again.

mine does the same, dew means theres wetness inside the camera, but like most of us having problems its most likely the DEW sensor in the camera, i put some tin foil around it and it went away, but it still wont play my tapes or record, i hate this camera i'v had nothing but problems, it was pretty cool when i first got it but now it dont work.

look inside the camera to the front.wou will see 2 solder bloba,run a line of solder between them to by pass the dew,it works

Few restarts fixed this for me but I know this is going to come back again soon.

for a quick fix I usually override it by slightly opening the tape when its being loaded, i think its a sensor issue. my cams been rendered useless because of this stupid error, I cant even sell it now because it only works 10% of the time and that's usually when im just checking out the cam, only when I need it the most does it screw up on me

This means there is moisture inside the Viewcam. Try taking the tape out, leaving the cassette compartment open for 2 hours to allow any condensation to evaporate. If the DEW indicator is still illuminated call a Sharp authorized servicer.
