If your Juki HZL-210 Excite's automatic thread cutter is cutting your thread when you're trying to straight stitch, there are a few things you can check:

1. Make sure you're using the correct presser foot: If the wrong presser foot is installed, it can activate the automatic thread cutter when you don't want it to. Ensure that you're using the appropriate presser foot for your straight stitch.
2. Check your thread tension: An incorrect thread tension can also cause the automatic thread cutter to activate at the wrong time. Make sure your thread tension is properly set for the type of fabric you're using and the type of stitch you want to make.
3. Clean the machine: Accumulated lint or debris can cause the automatic thread cutter to malfunction. Use a brush or compressed air to clean the machine, particularly around the thread cutter mechanism.
4. Reset the machine: Turn off the machine and unplug it for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on again. This can sometimes reset the automatic thread cutter and resolve any issues.

If none of these solutions work, you may need to take your machine to a professional for servicing or repair.

The needle threader cannot be used with the wing needle or the twin needle.

1. Turn on the sewing machine.
2. Raise the presser foot using the presser foot lever. ...
3. Press (needle position button) once or twice to raise the needle. ...
4. As shown, press down on the spool pin lever with your finger. ...
5. Remove the spool cap.

If you know which presser foot shank your machine has, you can purchase a darning or FMQ foot that fit your machine without having to manipulate Singer parts.

"When presser foot is down, measure the distance from the bottom of foot to screw-hole that holds the foot onto the presser bar. Singer slant is for slant needle machine only. A high shank machine measures approximately 1 1/4" from the screw to the bottom of the foot."

You may be able to use snap-on feet if you can first buy the shank adapter for your machine. You can buy a whole kit of 10 or more different snap-on feet that you would be able to use with the adapter shank.

Buying brand-name accessories could get very expensive. Some believe the generics or snap-on are inferior, but that is a matter for the owner to determine after deciding how much the accessories will be used. Personally, the snap-on feet I've used serve their purpose. If I am using a foot very frequently, I will consider buying the brand-name because the quality is usually better.

You'll need to determine what shank your machine has and whether these feet will work on your machine. Frequently, you can find accessories on eBay.

There should only be one way that it will fit so just keep moving it about and turning it till it snaps in place

Hi ruth162, Make sure you've got your needle inserted correctly-flat side back and as far as it will go up in the needle bar. The needle needs to be in the up position( to insure this tap the foot control once the needle will lower and the presser foot will be in the pivot position- tap the foot control again and the needle will be in the correct upper position and the presser foot down) or just simply turn the machine off then back on again. Check out page 9 in your users manual for using the needle threader.
Now if you've been threading your machine fine with the threader and now you're having issues, it could be that the little hook that pulls the thread thru the needle has become bent. Lower the presser foot, bring your needle threader down and forward just enough behind the needle where you can take something flat like a metal nail file and gently put it in between the metal flanges where the hook is in the middle and gently try and straighten it out on each side of the hook. Be careful we don't want to break it.Then test it by bringing it forward to see if the hook goes thru the eye of the needle.
Now If you've been having issues all along with threading with the threader cause sometimes it takes practice, If you live near a dealer I'm sure they can help you with learning how to do that.
Home some of this helps some what. I don't know how long you've had your machine. If your new or you've had it a while. You weren't specific with what trouble you're having with your auto threader. When you activated the threader, the needle was down and the threader came off or broke.

If it is not broken, you may be able to push it back into place.

Turn off the power and tip the machine back on some towels so it does not slip and with a flash light check the area where it fits and see if you can get it back into position.

If not, will have to thread the needle the old fashion way.

Check with your Brother dealer to see if they can look at the machine while you wait.

They may be able to get it back together or they will have to replace the threader.

It is possible they will have one in stock, or they may have to order it.

Threader that goes up and down? Is this the uptake lever? I don't know how this could happen unless the machine was dropped.

Lift the presser foot and re-thread the machine to see if the stitching improves.

Always thread a sewing machine with the presser foot up.

If you are by a Hancock fabic store take it in there and have then cean it and then order a part for it. they are the cheapest repair place I have found for a sewing machine. I too have a brother computerized and they have helped me. It cost 69.99 for the cleaning oiling and replacing the part :-) hope this helps
