stalling and surges.
does a fast right foot , prevent the stall?
does the engine still have full power on demand?
key questions....
you key on and the Dash CEL must glow, does it?
if yes, then does it flash 12s running? on demand.?
1: old car, make sure compression x4 is good at 150PSI, tested wide open throttle. ?
2: did you tune it up, with all new spark parts from rotor to spark plugs and set the gap to 0.028" , then check the spark timing.
3: The ECU on this car dont make spark ,the 90 is a ECU does injection only, car, fuel, only, but does control IDLE.
Bad spark, is a bad dizzy. (or never tuned up, by the book)
All tune ups, end by checking the timing,,,, tis a fact.
4: stalling with out lost power is? (not above)
A: EGR stuck open (sticking).
the 50k service point, is to clean it, make sure its closes.
B: ISC bad, most 23 year old ISC are bad. ISC is electric.
C: the iAC is not bad as they only fail hot. (stuck open)
D: bad fuel.
E: bad injection....bad fueling , too little or too much.
