Dryer has stopped producing heat

I have a Thin Twin stack washer/dryer and everything works except the heat that the dryer produces has stopped. This unit was purchased in 2006 and has worked fine, until a couple weeks ago. It seems that either a fuse or heating element needs to be replaced. I need a diagram to show where I need to look to replace the bad part and where to order that part. Your help is greatly appreciated

Squeak dryer used to warm up and stop now it's the devil

Hello auntrhodie - If the unit turns on but it is not producing any heat please have a professional diagnose the heating element and the blower assembly. Either part could be faulty at this time. This is not a typical DIY job so please consult a professional.

Hello,

Before wasting money on a timer that wont be returnable once it is removed from the packaging please respond to me and tell me does the washer do everything including draining, and the only thing it will do not do is spin

My whirlpool thin twin filled with water and stopped!:(

Well if it fills then it needs the lid shut to work. So if the lid is shut it hits a lidswitch and if that lid switch is broken then nothing will work washer wise right? As far as the dryer that may be a blown fuse but nothing on the washer could stop it from running cept maybe a bad cord or breaker.

Thin twin washer & dryer LT5000XS

The lint obstruction possibly caused the high limit thermo to fail. It is designed to prevent the machine from running if it gets too hot. It should be the one at the top of the drier stack. the one on the element needs to be checked for proper operation as well. this can be done with a multimeter. Be sure to unplug your machine before checking as there will be power at the connection points.
