I have a Samsung SMT-190 19" FLAT PANEL monitor and the picture won't show but a few minutes and then a sound comes on and the power light is blinking and the picture goes out and leaves only the blank screen

More then likey yuor Inverior Board is going bad if not that, Its the Power Board
First check Invertor This Happens a lot Its hard to find someone to fix it.
Well I had a hard time. I just waited and bought one for parts and fixed it Myself
Good luck
PS. You can still use it just get a different Monitor. The Video out on the Samsung to the
Video in on a different Monitor IT WILL WORK

Have you tried unplugging the monitor from the 120 volt supply for a minute or two then replug and turn on. Like computers and some flat panel TVs they can freeze-up after an unplanned power loss and need rebooting

Samsung SMT-190Dx DVR monitor won't turn on after power outage

There is a fuse on the Power Supply Board replace that. Hope this helps

Won't power on just beeps

If it beeps it might be on. The beeping might be that your hard drive is full
What you can do is ,,, Do you have a 19'' tv ??? ON the back of the Monitor look for the
Video out /on the 19'' TV look for Video in... run a video cable to monitor and the TV
Turn the TV on then the SMT-190 Monitor wait till it sets up takes a few minutes

How do you reset password for SMT-190? It doesn't accept the default

To reset to factory settings....Press CH2 and Alarm buttons on moniter at same time and hold for a few seconds.

Forgot password to Samsung SMT-190DN

Hold the remote control's STOP ( ) button for
longer than 5 seconds. “INITIAL” appears on the display and
all settings will return to the default values.
• Press the POWER button.
Using the RESET function will erase all stored settings.
Do not use this unless necessary.
