Have second hand lexmark e260dn and status light

I have been given a second hand lexmark e260dn (which looks brand new and driver CD has never been opened but have no manual). The status light is continously blinking. What does this mean?

    The light indicates the printer is busy. Try to disconnect the printer from the network or computer. Are you able to print the menu settings? If it prints, then most probably it's a software issue.

    I haven't connected the printer to anything yet as I wasn't sure if it was faulty.

Blinking status light means the printer is busy. If it's not doing anything else, disconnect the printer from the computer. Restart the printer and then print a menu settings page. Clear the print queue on your computer before re-attaching the printer. Thanks.

That is a general printer error
Check for jams or blocks. you might have to delete the driver and clean the registry I use revo uninstall. then install the latest firmware

Please check if the paper guides on the paper tray are correctly positioned. For example, if you are using a letter sized paper, make sure the guides are set to 8"x11".

Lexmark e260dn toner light blinking orange

Solution: If you replace the toner cartridge and the 'Toner Low' message remains, the printer may need to be reset.
To do so, power off the printer. Let it sit 20 to 40 seconds, then power it back on. If the 'Toner Low' message does not appear on power-up, try printing again.
If the 'Toner Low' message returns on power-up or when printing, confirm the following:
  • The toner cartridge you just installed is a brand new toner cartridge and not a used one.
  • The toner cartridge is an original Lexmark brand toner cartridge. Cartridges manufactured by a third party may not be compatible with the printer.
    If a third-party cartridge is causing this issue, contact the point of purchase for additional support or replacement of the toner cartridge.
  • The toner cartridge has not been refilled or refurbished by a third party. If it has, contact the place where it was refilled to have it replaced.

Still Need Help? Should you confirm all the above and the 'Toner Low' message remains, have the following available when calling Lexmark Technical Support;
  • Printer model(s)
  • Printer serial number
  • Toner/imaging unit/waste toner bottle part number and serial number

What does the second warning light on the lexmark printer e260dn mean? and how do you fix it?

We would like to know more about the second warning light you're referring to. Is it the second light from the left or from right side. The lights are represented by Error, Jam, Load Paper, Toner Low, Ready and Continue (green button).

Just installed new printer Lexmark E260dn all lights flashing- printer does not print

This light sequence means that the printer has a service error, and printing has stopped.


Please Press Continue button (green button) twice to see the secondary code. The secondary error code will help locate the problem. Please take note which light will be flashing for this will reveal what problems you have on the printer.
