Question about Cameras

1 Answer

I have a Soligor C/D 28 - 200 mm, f3.5 - 5.3 Macro lens used quiet well on a Minolta XG1 and want to know whether I can use it on a Nikon D90 DSLR and if so, where can I source an adapter. Is it worth the while attempting to get this lens to work on a Nikon D90 or should I just abandon this idea?

The lense will probably work with an adapter. try ebay. i purchased one for my canon lenses for macro work. note that the focal length of the nikon is 46.5 and the minolta is 43.5 and infinity will not work with out an adapter with a correcting lense. you will find a adapter with out a lense will work fine for macro.

I HAVE A SOLIGOR 2X CONVERTER AND I NEED A NIKON ADAPTER IS SUCH A THING AVALIBLE

There are a lot of adopter rings available. But most will turn the combination into a MF lens. Most non Nikon tele convertors, only can be used in MF when put on a Nikon camera, so I don't think you lose a lot when you find a Soligor Nikon adopter ring.

How much is nikon d90 in the philippines price

Hi alvinearlaca,

Nikon D90 DSLR Camera Price and Features:

The Nikon D90 is a 12.3 megapixel digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera that offers live view capability and automatic correction of lateral chromatic aberration.

It is known as the first DSLR to feature HD 720p video recording with mono sound at 24 frames per second. It replaces the Nikon D80 and positions itself between the company's entry-level and professional DSLR models.

We have here the price (in Philippine peso) of Nikon D90 digital camera.

Nikon D90 Digital Camera Price (body only) in the Philippines: Around Php 36,000 - Php 37,000.
Nikon D90 Digital Camera Price (with Nikkor AF-S DX 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens) in the Philippines: Around Php 52,000 - Php 53,000

Hope it helps.

In the past when film was still king and I was using it I had always used a UV or a Polarized lens cover. Now in the DSLR world I've been told that I should not use a non rated DSLR lens cover. Is there...

Without specific reference to the D90, the following applies to almost all dSLR's: Skylight filters (UV) are fine, but avoid using auto white balance. Polarisers can prevent the autofocus system from working, but the more expensive circular polarisers are usually OK although don't produce quite the same effect as linear polarisers.

Currently I have a Nikon F65 non-digital camera with 28-80mm lense. I am planning to buy a Nikon D5000 DSLR. My Question: If i buy a Body on D5000 and will be able to use my f65 lenses? Will there will any...

If anything, you will gain image quality because the sensor on the D5000 is smaller than a frame of 35mm film. Thus you will only be using the central portion of the lens. On the D5000, the 28-80mm lens will act as a 42-120mm would on the F65.

However, you will lose autofocus capability. The D5000 does not have a focus motor in the body, relying on the lens having the motor, and neither version of the 28-80mm lens has a focus motor. The lowest-end Nikon dSLR with a focus motor is the D90.

WHICH LENS WILL GIVE THE SAME RESULT OF 50 MM LENS IN FILM MODEL

To figure the equivalent coverage comparable to a film camera, multiply the number of mm by 1.5. Example: a 50mm lens will be like a 75mm lens on a digital camera.

WILL THIS MODEL JELL WELL WITH THE NIKON 50mm LENSES (NORMAL) & OTHER BRANDS OF 50mm LENSES (NORMAL) THAT IS WITH NIKON D90 DSLR

Hello,
The Nikon D90 works well with the Nikon AF 50mm lenses and most other brand Nikon fit AF lenses. If they are not AF you will lose autofocus and metering.
Do you know that on the D90 the lens becomes a 75mm but the aperture stays the same, so for instance the 50mm f/1.8 is a 75mm f/1.8.

Yes and yes. Bear in mind that not all features may work. You probably won't get autofocus or metering with the Nikon D90, for example.

Tele converter option for Tamron 28-75mm f2.8

This is a lens for Sony/Minolta cameras. It is not compatible with the Nikon D90. Hence a Teleconverter for Nikon will not work on this lens to mount it to a Nikon D90.
