You have a flat screen, look on the back of the flat panel for digital in (yellow, white & red jacks). this will be connected to yes the DVD player. using your tv remote switch the source enable to watch a DVD. you comcast cable is still connected to watch this simply switch back to cable source..

How do I hook up my sony dvd player to my tv screen?

Does your DVD player have RCA outs on the back (the red, yellow & white sockets) and does the rear of your TV have the same? Some new flat screen DTV's no longer have RCA inputs and only have the flat, rectangular HDMI inputs. All current generation DVD players are Bluray and require a HDMI cable and DTV to support them. Match the connections with the right cable between the 2 devices and identify what input is being used on the TV in the 'AV' settings.

I'm trying to program a Comcast cable remote silver with red ok button to operate my Sony BDP-S3200 Blu-ray/DVD player and need the code please.

This is a Comcast baby - U are paying them plenty for the service - they should help you with the remote. Don't let them off the hook.

Where is the model number and where do I put it in online to get the correct service manual?

If it does not have a regular 3 line cable connector on back of tv screen you need to buy an adapter for it. I know most of the TV's I have including a older flat screen they have the HDMI connection or the 3 cable connection with yellow, white, red connections on back of tv for these older devices. Rich

I own an iview 2600hd dvd player and im trying to hook it up to my sony trinitron tv...however, no matter how i switch my cables, the dvd player just won't show any picture or audio on my tv...and when...

Try new cables. RCA cables have a tendency to have bad connections internally. Also, triple check that you're on the right input and the wires are properly connected to the DVD player. If all that fails, try the DVD player on a different T.V. and something that uses RCA cables on your T.V, such as a cable box to make sure the input jacks on the T.V. aren't bad, and the DVD player isn't bad.
Through out all of this troubleshooting, you should manage to get the DVD player hooked up.

I'm trying to hook up my Panasonic DVD player (model DVD-S29) to a Comcast cable box but have not been successful. My DVD player only has Audio Out connections, with no audio in connections. I...

the cable in should go to the box and cable out from the box to the TV.These should all be coaxial cables correct?Hook up the DVD player to the TV using the red, white, and yellow cables is also correct. In order to watch a DVD,you have to use the input select button on the remote for the TV ONLY to change inputs. If you have a universal remote for the TV and not the original factory remote provided with the TV,you need to use the menu button located on the outside of the TV.I just searched on my flat screen and was unable to find an input select through the menu button. It may not be possible on this TV if you do not have the original remote and if you own a universal. My universal for one of my older TV's is about 7 years old so I do not know if newer ones have an input select option. If they do not,it is most likely due to patents and royalty payments which these cheap remote makers do not want to pay.Anyhow, let me know if this helps.Just comment here and i will get an auto link to your comments.Good luck! Hook up of new dvd player to comcast cable box

I ran into the same problem, Radio Shack has a device called a RF Modulator. The model # is Model: 15-2526 | Catalog #: 15-2526, the price is $27.49. On the back there is a place for cable in and cable out to tv. There are the 3 rca jacks on the back also, 1 video (yellow) and 2 audio (red/white) That simple. Set the tv to channel 3, turn on the dvd player and it automaticlly puts the dvd on the screen. Turn it off and back to normal cable. Works great, I use one myself. hope this helps. Steve
