The igniter on the left front burner of the

The igniter on the left front burner of my Amana AKS3040 gas cooktop keeps clicking even when everything is turned off. When the burner is turned on, it does not light, either. The other burners seem fine. What is the possible cause of the constant clicking?

It could be locked, the valve could bed closed. r clicking is just an electric switch I would make sure the gas is turned on somewhere

Amana gas cooktop clicks when not in use

Take a look at the solutions that have been posted regarding igniters. i suspect a dirty or wet push-down knob. you will see that others have had water/moisture causing problems. drying mights solve it, but it may need a a bit of a clean. keep trying. it must have taken me a couple of hours to solve.

No spark on left side burners

Hi, This could be caused by something spilled on the burner, look at the electrode where the spark comes from and clean it up and make sure the metal right above it is clean as well. You should see spark at each burner regardless of which one your turning on. Assuming everything is clean, if you don't see spark on 2 of the burners, it could be 2 broken wires or a defective spark module (not likely if right side lights). Good luck

Burner won't light

hi gud day,i think the sensor is we have problem is hard to repair in ur own,try to call the person have expireince for repair that unit, or ur igniter ligther have damage like small broken if u hear have click is ok but much better to check the igniter coz the broken igniter is not directly spark in the burner that why is not light.to check if remove the burner base cover then see if the igniter like a small niddle color white, turn the knob to click the igniter then see it wer the spark directly if u not see it means have a broken igniter.

Burner won't light

is gas comeing out of the hole? sometimes by cleaning the orfice hole (food and debrie will get in there and plug the hole not letting the gas come through) i get a needle and poke it.

when you say it is sparking...When you turn the dial for that specific one you want ignited... That one is sparking? If so Great. This means you either have a plug or the valve is bad and not letting the gas flow through.

Clearence to hood fan

I just had a similar cooktop installed with a micro over it. From the bottom of the upper cabinet to the top of the burner frames you need 33 1/2 inches and from the bottom of the micro to the burner frames you need a minimum of 16 1/2 inches.
