How can I clean the inside of the objective lens on my night owl optics night vision?

It is a wigit finger print. Anything that happen, does happen, could happen, will happen, happen to disappear, you can count on it that a darn wigit had something to do with. There could be more than one wigit also.

Don't take it apart there are lots of thin wires to break. Night Owl Optics will not give you any information or schematic of the wiring. It's "proprietary" That mean they own everything dealing with this NV monocular even though it manufactured in Russia.

Try this, take both lens out. All you have to do is just unscrew the lens. Use a very good optic lens clean with anti-static charging elements in the clearner. Only remove lens in a room semi free of dust, mites--little monster that live in the carpet, flaky skin, pet hair, etc. If it is dust inside of the NV devise, use a computer air spray to clean the inside. Well! harley with 38girls, if they are dirty on the inside of lenes. This Night Owl has four or five lenses. Therefore, it needs to taken to a camera shop for they can clean the inside of the lenes. For the out side of lenes, get a camera lenes clean kit. These kit can be used to clean eye glasses. One more thing here, make sure that you have lens covers for this NV monocular. That lens is a F1.7 with 80mm input lens. Take threaded end an measure it diameter and thread sizes. You could up dat this lens to 90 or 100mm. Ask Night Owl Optics in El Paso, TX. How does your Night Owl keep telling you that you have limited authority. Does you Night Owl have a liquid crystal screen, or does it have a phone system that you can communicate with you NV optics, How!!

it sounds like the light "pickup" at the front is not working,, was it stored with the front lens cap fitted and in the dark? if not you may have bamaged this "pickup" it could also just be dirt on it,,you can undo the front lens and clean the "pickup" if the unit is turned off and you use a soft lint free cloth

Unscrew front lens front of intensifier tube should have an even bronze tinted coating on glass if it is grey and blotchy the tube is degassed. common fault with this model nightvision
