Zebra QLN 420 - Not printing label correct size. it is printing too small label

1) If you feel your printer is printing only small-sized labels, then you can try changing the font size.

2) If you are printing from a computer, then go to the paper settings that appear in the print preview window.

3) You will see a paper type or a paper settings option available in the window. Since it is a small-sized printer, you will only get prints in small size.

When I try to print on a 6x6 envelope on my hp envy 110 printer it tells me it is the wrong size paper. No where is there a setting for a 6x6

Print labels and envelopes

With the HP ENVY 110 series, you can print on a single envelope, a group of envelopes, or label sheets
designed for inkjet printers.

To print a group of addresses on labels or envelopes

1. Print a test page on plain paper first.
2. Place the test page on top of the label sheet or envelope, and hold both up to the light. Check the spacing for
each block of text. Make adjustments as needed.
3. Load the labels or envelopes into the paper tray.
CAUTION: Do not use envelopes with clasps or windows. They can get stuck in the rollers and cause
paper jams.
4. Slide paper-width guides inward against the stack of labels or envelopes until the guides stop.
5. Select the appropriate options.
• On -Paper/Quality- tab select a Plain paper type.
• Click the [Advanced] button, and select the appropriate envelope size from the Paper Size drop down
menu.
6. Click [OK], and then click [Print] or [OK] in the Print dialog box.

If you print from within a program that DOES have that listed (like M$ Word,) then you don't need the limited printer driver to specify the paper size.

Please teach me how to use my HPF4185 to print envelopes. Thanks.

Hi

Use the product software, also known as the printer driver, to change the print settings for your envelope size and type. Then, use the Envelopes and Labels tool in Microsoft Word to select your envelope size.

Step one: Adjust the print settings

-In Microsoft Word, click File , and then click Print .
-Make sure that your product is in the Name drop-down list box, and then click Properties .
-Click the Features tab, or the Paper/Quality tab.
-Select an envelope size from the Size drop-down list.
-If the required paper size is not in the drop-down list, follow these steps to create a custom paper size.
-Select Custom from the drop-down list.
-In the Custom Paper Size dialog box, type a name for the new custom size.
-In the Width and Height boxes, type the dimensions.
-Select the unit of measurement, and then click Save .
-Click OK to close the Custom Paper Size dialog box, and then click OK again to close the Properties dialog box.
NOTE: You must exit the Properties dialog box to apply your changes.
Open the Properties dialog box again, and select the new custom size from the Size drop-down list.
-Select the paper type.
-In the Paper Type or Type is drop down list, click More .
-Click the desired paper type, and then click OK .
-Select the paper source from the Paper Source drop-down list.
-Change any other settings, and then click OK to close the Properties dialog box.

Step two: Set the correct envelope size

-Set the correct envelope size in the Envelopes and Labels dialog box before printing envelopes.
-In Microsoft Word, click Tools , click Letters and Mailings , and then click Envelopes and Labels .
-In the Envelopes and Labels dialog box, click the Envelopes tab.
-Click Options .
-From the Envelope size drop-down list, select the required paper size. If you created a custom paper size, select the new custom paper size from the drop-down list.
-Click OK , and then click Close to close the Envelopes and Labels dialog box.
-Click File , and then click Print to print the envelope.
NOTE: When you finish printing the envelopes, return the paper size and the paper type settings to the defaults.

When trying to print Avery Labels L7160 the top few labels print within each label 'frame' BUT towards the end of the page the labels are printed further up and therefore are out of the label 'frames' ALSO...

For Word 2007/Word 2010
1- Click on the Office button
2- Select Print then Print again.
3- In the Zoom section make sure 'Scale to paper size' is set to 'A4'
4- Click on the Properties button.
5- Click on the Paper / Quality tab, then click on Advanced.
6- In the Paper/ Output section it has Paper size. To the right you have a drop down menu . Make sure A4 is selected and not letter, then click on OK.

3- There may also be other options in your printing preferences such as 'Print Area', 'Scale to Fit Page Size' or 'Page Margins. These will all need to be set correctly for your design to print 100% e.g. Print Area set to Maximum, Scale to fit Page Size disabled and Page Margins set to Minimized.

Some printers ( for example Epson printers ) have a 'Reduce /Enlarge' facility that defaults to 94% or 97% (instead of 100%). To set this to 100% click the 'Layout' tab and in the 'Reduce/Enlarge' section select 'Custom' you should then be able to change the scaling to 100%.

C6180 will not print labels as set out in the avery template. will bunch up as they go down sheet

Step 1 : Change the print settings
The print settings of the HP All-in-One can be customized to handle nearly any print task.
Before changing the print settings, decide whether to change the settings for the current print job only, or to make the settings the default for all future print jobs. How print settings are displayed depends on whether to apply the change to all future print jobs or just to the current print job
Change the print settings for all future jobs:
In the HP Solution Center, click Settings , point to Print Settings , and then click Printer Settings .
Make changes to the print settings and click OK . Change the print settings for the current job:
On the File menu in the software program, click Print . Make sure that the HP All-in-One is the selected printer.
Click the button that opens the Properties dialog box. Depending on the software program, this button might be called Properties , Options , PrinterSetup , or Printer .
Select the appropriate options for the print job by using the features available on the Paper/Quality , Finishing , Effects , Basics , and Color tabs.
Click OK to close the Properties dialog box. Click Print or OK to begin printing.
Step 2 : Print with 210 x 297 mm (8.5 x 11 inch) labels
The HP All-in-One can be used with any software program designed for printing.
This document contains basic information about using the HP All-in-One to print on labels using a software program. For additional information, such as printing a poster, printing multiple pages on a single sheet, and more, see the onscreen Help that came with the HP software.
Follow these steps to print on labels:
· Make sure to load labels in the input tray. Always use letter or A4 label sheets designed for use with HP inkjet devices (such as HP inkjet labels).
· Make sure the labels are no more than two years old. Labels on older sheets might peel off when the paper is pulled through the HP All-in-One, causing paper jams.
  • Fan the stack of labels to make sure no pages are sticking together. Place a stack of label sheets on top of full-size sheet of plain paper in the paper tray, label side down. Do not insert labels one sheet at a time.
    1. On the File menu in the software program, click Print . Select the HP All-in-One as the printer. To change settings, click the button that opens the Properties dialog box.
    2. Select the appropriate options for the print job by using the features available on the Paper/Quality , Finishing , Effects , Basics , and Color tabs.
    3. Click OK to close the Properties dialog box. Click Print or OK to begin printing.

Problems with avery mac label expert

To reset the size in your printer to the correct A4 size, do this:
Go to your Applications folder on your hard drive.
In it, you will find a Utilities folder.
Inside that folder, you will find a folder called "Printer Setup Utility."
Inside THAT folder, you will find a list of printers you have connected to your Mac.
Click on one. You will see, at the top of your screen, a set of menus. Click on the "Printer Setup Utility" menu at the far left.
Choose "Preferences" from the drop-down list.
You will see a dialog box with three options: Printing, Sharing, and Faxing. If Printing is not automatically displayed, click on the Printing tab.
At the bottom of the Printing dialog box, you will see another pull-down menu: "Default paper size in page setup"
Choose A4, or whatever size you wish.
Close up all the boxes, and print your labels to your heart's content.
When you're done with your labels, don't forget to repeat this process to switch your printer back to your ordinary size paper.
Hope this helps.
