1.goto start,settings,printer and faxes,right click your printer 2. select properties, at the bottom you will find Print test page 3. click it, now your printer gives you a test print.

It drove me crazy for 3 days and I had tried everything ! reloading the software, full system restore and pulled what little hair I have OUT !
I had exactly the same problems my printer which is an HP Photosmart 2610 all in one,would print photos and everything else EXCEPT anything from wordpad,notepad or similar ! the pages were coming out blank !

The solution is so so simple !
As wordpad docs are only usually in BLACK.I decided to change the colour to blue and lo and behold it worked !
Simply my black cartridge was empty ! upon refilling Absolutely everything printed fine !
Sometimes the most simple solution we cannot see !

dear mdoris5, First confirm that how often u use ur printer. If u need not take prints everyday then atleast you should switch on ur printer daily, because when the printer switches on it perform a cartridge cleaning task. The cause of the problem might be : 1) Clogged print heads due to no use for long periods. 2) Empty cartridges. Try refilling ur cartridge or use new one to check if u can borrow one.
web pages do have a printable version, what I mean is that there are web pages that are not printable and that?s why you get a blank page when you print directly from the website, nothing is wrong with your printer if that?s the only problem, you have to look for the link that?s say print version, then use it.
If the link is not there, just an extra task of coping the web page to word then print is, this has to work for you because I had the same problem an I nearly destroyed my printer trying to fix it, so never fix something that is working
