The door does not lock when the washing starts. Also the washing machine will go through all the cycles and finish the wash however the clothes are still soaking wet. I noticed that the spin cycle is not working. Im thinking its because the door is not locking so its not allowing the spin cycle to activate. An ideas???.....

looks like you washer is not spinning your clothes out and maybe not agitate them either. Start your machine normaly on heavy load, watch it and check if it fill and moves back then drains and goes into a spin.. if water is still in the machine then you may have something stuck in the drain. If it fulls and drains then you may have a motor or control problem. If its still under warranty you will need to call authorized repair service or authorized frigidaire service. if not under warranty and you want to repair it yourself let us know and we can help.

It sounds like your water discharge pump is either clogged or not working to full capacity. You can check this by looking at or feeling your discharge hose during drain and spin to see if the water is actually draing fast or just dribblig. If this is the problem then call a teck or change the pump yourself. If you do it yourself please unplug your unit before working on it. I hope this helps you.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
If you are certain that the spin speed is correct i.e. very fast, I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Here are my complete and general guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and most are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.
(If these actions have not cured the problem, it could be the control board OR the main motor not spinning fast enough. Motors will show weaknesses when commanded to spin.)
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Hi
The issue is with the door lock assembly that is bad and
should be replaced. If the door lock assembly is bad the control will sense
that the door is open and so will not start a spin cycle. If you want you can
test the door lock assembly with a voltmeter before replacing it. Hope this
helps...please post back for further assistance.
