LD2667D picture flicker

Have a LD2667D Goodmans 26 LCD out of warranty by 1 month(!!!) and it has developed a picture flicker, very fast and unwatchable (gives me a headache!!) the sound is fine. it changes channel etc, but fault remains. combines with 'ticking' noise from rear. On an old crt I'd be looking around the line time base for the fault, but havent a clue on LCDs. Any idea?

Regards,
#
Chris

The flickering is most likely due to a faulty fluorescent backlight. Once the bulb heats up the flickering usually goes away. Some bulbs are easier to replace than others so I would contact your local TV repair shop.

26 inch Samsung LCD TV

I would take advantage of the warranty before it runs out.  These things can be expensive to fix out of warranty.
