Press >menu< button, select >mode< select >card< select >format< select >yes< press >ok< (menu button) During formatting DO NOT open battery cover, card cover, or plug in AC adapter. Make sure you have all your files saved on your computer or elsewhere before formatting your card, since all images will be deleted.# Hope that helps

Place the card in the camera (make sure the protect feature lock is not on), go to your menu settings and scroll through until you find thee "Format" setting. Use that and format the card in the camera, not on your computer.
With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" (called "initialize" on some cameras) and follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then insert your card and enjoy.
What makes you think you need to use the computer to format the camera? Why do you need to format the camera at all? We format memory cards and we format internal memories of cameras but these functions are done in the camera, not the computer.
Yes, by formatting the card. In fact, you should format the card each time you finish downloading your pics to your computer. This will prevent future problems with the card.
You'll find "Memory Format" at the top of the Setup menu.
dude its the only way do workbut you can try this 1 format 2 download http://undeleteplus.com/files/UndeletePlus_setup.exe try to get yor filesusing this i not sure if wil work butif works rate my solution
If this is a brand new memory card, the two things to do/check are:
- Make sure the camera supports 2GB of memory (manual should say that)
- Format the memory card - the manual should give detailed instructions of how to navigate through the menu and perform a format on the memory card
Are you saying your card is full of pictures? Why not download them to your computer using a cardreader? Then, format the card in your camera to give it a fresh start.
Sounds like you will need to format the memory card. This will permanently erase all the data from the card and then you will be able to use it again. To format the card: Press the Menu button - right arrow to setup - right arrow to format option. You will see format yes or no. Choose Yes and press ok. This will clear the Picture error message and the card can be used again. The picture error message indicates that this image is now corrupted and unable to be viewed through the camera.
