Hi
To solve the beeping and lid lock light flashing and the machine not doing a spin dry. Do the following.
I have a SIMPSON EZI SENSOR 8Kg top loader. This is what I did.
WARNING HIGH VOLTAGE. switch the power off and unplug the machine.
DO NOT do this if you are not familiar with working with high voltages.

To get access to the lid lock switch,
1. Remove 2 screws at the rear of the washer.
2. Remove 2 screws at the front of the machine located under the lid and covered by small round plastic plugs.
The top cover can now be raised gently from the front.
3. Remove the 2 screws that hold the lid switch.
4. Remove the clear plastic cover from the lid switch.
5. DANGER HIGH VOLTAGE ( Verify that power is off)
6. Find 2 blue wires these go to a magnetic reed switch (25mm long 3mm Diameter).
Cut the blue wires and discard the reed switch. insulate the ends of the blue wires and push them back into the track in different directions so there is no possibility that they can make contact with each other.
7. Find 2 white wires these go to a set of contacts that are mechanically closed by the solenoid.
8. Pull out the contacts and the 2 white wires.
9. Cut the white wires at the contacts, strip 5mm of plastic off the wires and twist them together, The wires will have corrosion, clean them with sand paper, they must make good contact. I recommend that you solder them together.
10. Insulate them and push them back into the track.
11.Reassemble starting with fitting the clear plastic cover.
Your good to go BUT BUT BUT,

WARNING
The Lid safety protecting during the spin dry cycle will no longer function,
So don't do this if you need the safety of the lid closed during the spin cycle.

Remove 2 screws at the back of the machine

The Lid lock and flashing and beeping. It will not go to the next cycle for long time. Can I use your method to fix my washing machine too?

I used joeF's wiring fix to get my Ezi 7.5 Simpson washer spinning again, but I opened the switch cover, did the wiring at the plug end where the board is not at the lid sensor red/black/blue/blue/white/white. Before i saw this fix. I purchased the whole lid lock sensor assembly and replaced the component (wrong plug end but rewired) but the washer still would not spin and still beeped. Wasted purchase when I could of used joeF's wiring fix first on the old lid sensor. After replacing the component (that i didn't have to replace) it still beeped when it got to the spin cycle. Only problem I have now after the fix is that the lid lock light is always on after the rewiring. Still locks during the spin but if i start the with the lid open it will still spin. So, warning be safe as the fix as it bypasses the spin lock lid safety. The spin can be very dangerous. Hope this helps someone.

Did you fix this, Leila Bell?
Also having this problem with Simpson EZI sensor 802 model washing machine. This type of error message (flashing lid lock plus beeping) is not in the manual. I suspected blockage (a sock?) so checked connection of drain hose with bottom of machine, but nothing there. May try taking the back off and looking into the pump.
Better if someone has an easier approach.

The wife just reminded me we had the same problem a year ago, couldn't fix it, so rang a technician. The wait was 2 days, but before the technician came, the machine seemed to fix itself, so she cancelled the technician.
    Puzzling.

Electrolux repairman came last week and replaced the lid switch parts with a new designed part. Told me the original part was subject to recall because of a problem with the design, was getting wet and stopping the maching operating correctly, and causing shocks. Ring Electrolux, should be covered under the two year warranty (but because the fault was there when the machine was bought, shouldn't matter even if warranty period had expired). I suspect the machine fixed itself previously because the wet part dried out.

My machine stops after the rinse cycle, the Lid Locked sensor constantly beeps and it won't advance to spin.

Sounds like the filter might be clogged up.. Not sure what model you have. The filter is usually located on the right front bottom corner. Twist counterclockwise to open and clean ...just replace reverse manner.. Hope that helps..

Lid light beeping and flashing on our 6kg simpson swt605 ezi sensor and won't spin. Any ideas???

Thank you for your advice non3. We have an old Simpson SWT605 that had a similar issue. In our case the lid lock was working but the spin cycle wouldn't start. I followed your advice to take off the lid and have a look at the lid sensor. It turned out that the one of the contacts for the two white wires you mentioned had broken off so when the mechanical pin was coming out no contact was actually made.

I followed your advice and it is currently working (without the lid safety lock) but it will give us a few weeks to decide whether we get it fixed or just get a new unit.

Simpson washing machine 7.5kg 22s750m

Have the lid lock adjusted and always check that the bowl load is balanced. What you have is the machine is reading the lid as open and the spin will not occur until the lid lock reads closed.

Can i bypass lid lock simpsom ezi lock its broken

You have to replace the switch. It has a "failsafe" design which prevents users from splicing the wires together.

Hi I have a Simpson 8kg washing machine ezi sensor and it won't spin the red lid light beeps continually and flashes it's only 2 yrs old and never had any other trouble with it??

Those machines with a will of their own can be difficult to handle.
Ask the electician if there could be something wrong while spinning.

I have a 5.5kg Simpson Ezi Sensor SWT552 Washing Machine. The lid locked light keeps flashing and the machine keeps beeping during the spin cycle - even though the lid it down properly. Could you please...

yes the safty door latch switch is eather loose or going bad. somewhere on your door there is a small sensor or switch that tells the washer the door is closed and its ok to spin, these washers put out alot of force when spinning and thats why the sensor is there it would be dangerous without them. when the washer goes in spin cycle there is more vibration than any other cycle. and thats whats making the sensor or switch wiggle and its getting an intermedate signal. it probily needs replaced these can commonly go bad due to wear buy slamming the door on the washer.. i hope this helps

Simpson eziset 750 t/l stops at first rinse with lid lock led flashing and alarming!

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
There is likely to be a problem with either the lid solenoid/lock or the 'lid closed' sensor. Both require a service engineer's attention I suggest ;-0(
Good luck,
John C
