Ricoh CL 7000 error code SC 387

fuser assy replace it and reset code or have tech come out and fix it

Try the procedure below. Its a hardware error on the device

Press and hold online + escape, then power on.
Use up and down arrow keys to select SP2
Press Enter
Use up and down arror to locate SP5
Press Enter
Use up and down arrow keys to select 810
Press Enter
Confirm the selection
Power off and on.
The error code is now cleared.

1. Set SP3-125-003 to a value of
2 to enable Job End & Non-use
3 Self Check Mode.

Most likely if you have no error code displayed then one of the hard drives is bad.

sc 375= Vt error [Yellow] (toner density sensor error)
sc 387=Development gamma error Yellow

it looks like there is a problem with your yellow development unit.
it may not set in properly or needs to be replaced.

or rear (for K&Y) synchronizing
detector board.
4. Replace the front (for C&M) or rear
(for K&Y) synchronizing detector
board.
5. Replace the laser optics housing unit.
6. Replace the BCU.
If a synch. detector board cannot be
replaced, do the following as a
temporary measure:
• Disable main scan length detection

Do you have the copier feature option installed?
It is most likely just a loose connection on the interface between the main printer unit and scanner section. Turn off main power (red button), and re-seat the connector.

You'll need a tech to run a diagnostic mode to find the exact cause...could be development problem, Transfer belt, ID sensor, etc

I do not recognize either of these codes (187 or 387) as part of the Aficio 2015 error list.

If the code is displayed on the screen, physically TURN OFF the copier with the main switch (red switch), wait 10 seconds and turn it back on. If it's an erroneous error, this should reset the error code. NOTE: THE ERROR CODE MUST BE DISPLAYED FOR THIS TO WORK.

go to service program 5-810 ( sc reset) press on, turn off the machine an the turn on again. The service code should be gone, if it come back again check for a paper jammeed or wrapping the upper
fusing roller if this is not the case replace the thermistor;
