Since you aren't specific about the model of Belkin router you are using, I can only give you some general advice. This is what is have from MY Belkin router manual. Yours may be different....
Enabling/Disabling UPnP
UPnP (Universal Plug-and-Play) is yet another advanced feature offered by your Belkin Router. It is a technology that offers seamless operation of voice messaging, video messaging, games, and other applications that are UPnP-compliant. Some applications require the Router's firewall to be configured in a specific way to operate properly. This usually requires opening TCP and UDP ports. An application that is UPnP-compliant has the ability to communicate with the Router, basically "telling" the Router which way it needs the firewall configured. The Router ships with the UPnP feature disabled. If you are using any applications that are UPnP-compliant, and wish to take advantage of the UPnP features, you can enable the UPnP feature. Simply select "Enable" in the "UPnP Enabling" section of the "System Settings" page. Click "Apply Changes" to save the change.
There is no UPNP on this router. The best you can do is put it into bridge mode and add a router on the LAN to do port forwarding as it is not possible on the OTN described here.
Once you have enabled UPNP on your router and saved the change, restart your router and your PS3, then try. That should get them on the same page and the PS3 to read that UPNP is enabled.
Using your Internet browser, you can access the Router's Web-Based Advanced User Interface. In your browser, type "192.168.2.1" (do not type in anything else such as "http://" or "www"). Then press the "Enter" key.
Click login, the router comes with no password set, so unless you have changed the password, just click login.
To take advantage of the UPnP features, you
can enable the UPnP feature. Simply select "Enable" in the "UPnP Enabling" section of the "Utilities" page. Click "Apply Changes" to save the change.
Hi, you can enable UPnP on a Linksys WRT54GS router by logging in and then clicking on the Administration tab. The first sub-tab is Management, and at the bottom of that page there are buttons to enable or disable UPnP. Click Enable and then click Save Settings at the bottom of the screen.
Login to the router throught your chosen web browser, then on the administration tab at the top tick the box that enables UPnP
"UPnP. If you want to use UPnP, keep the default setting, Enabled. Otherwise, select Disabled.
Allow Users to Configure. Keep the default setting, Enabled, if you want to be able to make manual changes to the Router while using the UPnP feature. Otherwise, select Disabled."
