I don't have my user name and password for my wireless network and need it to connect a wireless printer

If you have the CD that comes with the adapter then you can try uninstall Linksys software and install only the drivers of the adapter.

Remove the Linksys Adapter and un-install the Linksys Software from Programs menu. To re-install the Drivers insert the Linksys Setup CD into your CD-ROM drive. When the Welcome screen appears click Exit. Connect your USB adapter to the computer. When the Found new Hardware Wizard window appears, click Install the software automatically (Recommended) then click Next. Click Finish when the installation is complete.Try to connect to the wireless network again. See if that works. You can also download the latest drivers from Linksys website on any other computer. Save it on a Flash drive and transfer the drivers on your computer.

I have lost my CD installation software of Belkin N wireless USB network adopter. now i need it to reinstall it .so, can you tell me that how can i reinstall it without CD installation software.

You just need to go to the BELKIN Support website and select your exact model of USB adapter as well as the operatin system that your computer is running. Here is the link to the support website:

http://en-us-support.belkin.com/app/product/list/q/network-adapters/session/L3RpbWUvMTMwMDgyMzYzOC9zaWQvanJ4bV9BcGs%3D

Just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated.

When you find the driver for your model of USB adapter, just download the file and run it, then follow the onscreen instructions to install your USB adapter.

Good luck.

Error 211

When getting error 211, you will need to manually install the drivers for the adapter.

Exit from the error message, then remove the CD and restart your computer.

Plug linksys usb adapter, the computer will detect the adapter.

Right-click on My computer then click properties, go to Hardware > Device Manager.

Under Other Devices, you will see 802.11 g WLAN with an exclamation point. Right-click on it and select Update drivers.

Then insert the CD. (If the installation setup screen appears, just exit it.)

Then on the update driver screen, click browse and select your CD-ROM drive.

Then click finish.

If you are using Win 7, follow the steps from this link.

If you cannot open the link, just go to kb.linksys.com. In the search bar type 20873. Answer title: Error 211 - Installing Driver Manually for network adapters to work in Win7.

How do you install wireless usb adaptor

A wireless USB adapter is a simple device that connects to an open USB port on your computer or laptop, allowing you to connect wirelessly to a network that is within range. They come with different connection speeds, ranges and security protection allowing you to connect to the Internet and use email servers, without complicated setups. Installing USB adapters to a computer is a simple task that anyone can perform. With just a few steps, you can access wireless networkmag-glass_10x10.gif where there is one.
jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){ jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); }); }); Difficulty: Moderately Easy Instructions
  1. Step 1 Research around before purchasing a wireless USB adapter. There are many different networking companies such as Belkin, Netgear and Linksys (see links in Resources). Compare prices and features such as speed in megabytes per second (mbps). Look for wireless USB adapters with a compliance of IEEE 802.11b or IEEE 802.11g. These options give you increased security on your network.
  2. Step 2 Plug your purchased USB into a USB port on your computer. Depending on the chosen model, you may have an installation CD. Place your installation CD into the CD-ROM on your computer, and follow the setup instructions to install the wireless USB drivers. Some adapters will install automatically.
  3. Step 3 Locate the wireless icon on the lower right of your computer screen. If there is an "X" marked on it, use the manual that comes with your purchased wireless USB adapter to configure it properly. The wireless icon usually lights up when a wireless connection point is detected.

Belking wireless adapter install

when you are advised to connect the usb adapter, it will recognise it, then the usb host controller is installed to recognise the adapter, but it should continue to instal the driver and then recognise it as Belkin 54g, if not, then you need to keep the cd rom in and then force it to install the driver from your cd drive, but it may not be compatable with ME unles you have a windows 2000 driver.

When the installation is complete you should in any case have the belkin software icon on your desktop to set up the adapter, if not then the software has not installed fully.

It will also be listed in add/remove programmes if it's fully installed.
