dear , if your screen still working after one side damaged , so thats great , but unfortuntly , its not work for more days . one day it i will damaged the whole screen ,so my suggestion is that.. purchase branded screen and replace the screen...
Try to remove the battery and insert it back into your gps device and turn it on. If the screen does not still work, then you need to reset the nuvi, by holding down the power button for about 15 seconds, then the unit will restart, that way the touch screen should respond. If it still does not work, then you need to calibrate the screen to get it to work. To calibrate the screen, follow the sreps below:
Turn off your nuvi,
Press your finger on the upper left corner of the touch screen,
While holding your finger on the touch screen, turn on the nuvi,
Continue to hold your finger on the screen for about 30 seconds until the calibration screen appears (white screen with touch dot),
Then follow the on screen instructions.
It might not work trying it once, so you have to try it over time till it works. Calibration is the last resort of all solutions, so if calibrating it does not do the work, then it means it a an internal problem.
If the problem persist even after changing the display then issue may be with the strip(which connects the display screen and the board).

First be sure you dont have an imput problem on your laptop while you are testing it.
The input buton (swtich view) should be acessible via the Fn button and the F3-F8 on the keyboard (depends on your model) but it could looks like this : |[]| it really depends on the brands/models.
It seems you experience some driver issues, but the driver should work for both devices...
It's possible that your laptop screen or inverter are defective. But before saying so, be sure to try to switch views while you got the external monitor plugged in and see what happens.
If only your external monitor works fine, you may have to replace some hardware in your laptop. I would personally contact the Acer technical support before spending any money on it though. Just in case...
I hope it still in warranty cause it may be a bit expensive otherwise :(
My laptop is not working in the proper manner.Because for the screen the belt is may be some loose contact.some times the screen is shaking at the time of booting and immediately hanged. Then system is not working. Some times if we press upon the screen then it will work in good manner. If we remove the pressing hand, immediately the screen shakes and hanged the contents immediately.
