I used to be able to get sms messages from facebook to my cell phone (rumor 2) but no longer receive any posts. it started when sprint blocked a number that i was being charged for. sprint swears everything is now unblocked except for that one number but i have not been able to get anything from facebook on my cell. i do receive other sms meessages and get regular texts just fine. can anyone tell me what to do next?

Very possible that there is a picture block on your account activated by someone because of the cost...if not, go to a SPRINT corporate store, not an authorized dealer.

Log into your Sprint account on the web,

Click the "SMS Messaging" link in My Online Tools, then click the "Settings & Preferences" link in Text Messaging Options.

If that doesn't help, just call Sprint (or whoever your carrier is) customer service and they can turn off incoming SMS messages.

try that its the sprint user manual for the rumor via a pdf file.

Call sprint tech support and have them walk you through resetting your picturemail token. This will require your lock code so you will need to be speaking with sprint. They will also check your picturemail account.

go to menu then messaging click on voicemail then clear icon, this will clear the message waiting indicator

The LG Rumor is a Sprint CDMA device. This means that it is activated on a network using the Electronis Serial Number programmed into the device. Once the device is powered up, it registers to the network and if that ESN doesnt match an active acct, then no service, and you may get a message asking you to activate your device. Sim cards are only in GSM devices (not including nextel and a few devices that have been dubbed world phones, allowing them to work on both CDMA and GSM services.)

So, all this was to explain simply that you can never put a sim card in a LG Rumor. There is nowhere for it to go. SRY!!!!!

check off the ones u want to delete
go to options in the bottom right corner

You cannot unblock it. They have SAID, now this is also a rumor which i'm about to talk about, that you can go into the phone, and hack into it and change a SEEM edit inside of it. But ALLTEL can find out about it if something were to ever go wrong, if they really wanted to, and void every warrenty on the phone that they could think of. So essentially, you may not unblock it. Your stuck. All LG's do this at ALLTEL, and US Cellular and Verizon as well, so it's not just Alltel. The only phones that are still able to do so is Blackberry, Motorola, and the Windows Mobile phones i do beleive. Also, if you receive one through a Picture Message, and you save it, Alltel also blocks it as well. Several friends of mine have alltel, and hate their new LG's.

Maybe you never activated the phone to receive txt messages. Call up sprint and activate incoming txt.
