Use the following steps one at a time and test the camera after each step. Start with a fully charged battery.
1. Make sure you do not have the focus set to "Macro", usually the graphic for Macro is a tulip symbol. Set it on Auto Focus. If that is not the problem, very carefully clean the lens.
2.Power up the camera and when the lens extends, apply a few drops of commercial lens cleaning fluid to a lens cleaning cloth or lens cleaning tissue (not a facial tissue) and gently rub the lens in a circular direction. Then with a dry lens cloth or tissue carefully dry the lens.
3. Make sure you camera's ISO setting is on Auto ISO.
4. Rest your camera to factory default by going to the Settings menu, selecting "Reset", then select "Yes" in the sub-menu.
If none of these steps work, there is damage or a defect in your camera and you must contact Samsung for repair advice.

DO NOT PUT CAMERA IN RICE JAR.
I strongly disagree with given suggestion, rice will go inside lens mechanism and will damage it completely when lens extends/ folds.
Clean front lens of camera, reset the camera as option will be in menu, these steps may fix the problem or take it in local camera repair shop for visual check.
