I don't think you require a part number for your mixer, ring the company and tell them what model you have and I'm sure they will be able to assist you in regards to your volume slider.

I cant get sound from fx send to my computer

Open the volume mixer on the pc and make sure the mic port is on. When you find it, click on the "advance" tab and there will be a check box allowing you to add 4db to the volume of the mic. Also, make sure it is plugged into the line in or mic input on pc.

Slide pots for PV14 mixer

The pot needs to be cleaned. Get a spraty can of DeOxit 5. Spray it into the track and move the slider up and down a number of times. If that doesn't fix it, replace the slide pot.

There's a button on the back of my vlz pro that says main output +4...if the button is depressed it pads the unit..i saw that in the manual. my question is, for live performance when i use the mixer to...

This will depend upon the speakers. I would suggest that you place it in the +4 position with the main slider down and slowly increase it with the speakers set as you normally would have them. If the sound quality is poor at low volumes, then you are overdriving the inputs to the speakers and need to use the other option from the mixer. If you still have questions, please post what you are using for powered speakers and I can better guide you.

The FX portion of the board is clipping with no input signal present, there is no sound output at all. Also, none of the mute/pfl LEDs light up on channels 1-12.

There are several clipping indicators on this board. Do you mean that the small vertical display to the left of the FX selection window is maxed out from top to bottom? I will assume that you have ALL the FX inout knobs CCW for all channels AND the FX slider all the way down. Also does the FX selection knob work to change the effect number? Does the rest of the board work? WILL the effects pass sound when you send it through the effects? You say no sound, but was that just to say with no sound sent to it it still is clipping, or that it will not pass sound?

I have Behringer PMP 3000 2 channels not working fx not working and fan not working but unit turns on ok

Fan speed depends on temp sensors. If doesn't run at all when unit is loaded, take in for repair immediately.

If FX window changes with the control, chances are you have not set the controls properly. You need to havew THREE places turned up for effects: The FX knob in the desired channel(s), The FX slider and finally the knob to send the FX to the mains and/or monitors.

OFTEN the stereo channels aopear to not be working because of the A/B switch between the RCA and 1/4 inch jacks.

You did not give me enough info regarding which channels appear to not work.

I have purchased a beheringer 1832fx usb mixer and I have connected my computer to my mixer that has a usb interface on the back in order to play my backing tracks, music, via my computer, and when I turn...

The main mix controls ALL outputs simultaneously.

The mic channels are controlled individually by the sliders.

It sounds like you are on the verge of feedback where the mics are picking up the PA speakers.

Make sure you have loaded the support SW and make sure you have disabled ECHO as the mics may be looping back through the computer causing the rattle.

How do I adjust the volume when I plug my mp3 player in to the phonos with out the main slider

In a word, you DON'T... The main fader is the ONLY volume control in the loop going into the TAPE inputs.

If you need another volume control, then either use volume control if availlable on the tape/MP3 player.

Your other option is to use a splitter cable from the MP3 into one of the stereo input channels which do have level controls.

Now if you want to have the tape input level INDEPENDENT of the main slider, that is not really possible either. Adding a mixer AFTER the mains could accomplish this, but that is extra hardware.
