I'm not sure... I've purchased this TV second hand... Not owner's manual. It is a Hitachi Rear Projection big screen. The Model # on the plate on rear lower right side is 4 6 E X 3 B with a serial # U 3 E O O O 4 0 6.
I can't locate this model on a search but it looks similar to the 50UX57B model. A couple of days ago I noticed at start up the picture would kind of bounce or flicker until the unit got warmed up then it was fine. Then on another cold start up the sound came on but the picture was like a dark blue cloud near the center of the screen and it was surrounded by darkness. I shut off the set and then turned it back on. This time the picture came on, flickered a few times and then stayed on. This morning it started up normally the flickered and went black. It doesn't matter what I do now, the picture stays off. Sound is fine...
Without the owners manual, I'm at a loss. Is this something that I can repair? I'm disabled and don't have a lot of money... Any help will be greatly appreciated!I'm not sure... Try disconnecting all the cables from the TV then reconnect them after a few minutes. It's suggested that you connect the power cable from the TV directly to a functional wall outlet.
If still there is no picture on the TV then it's required to replace the projection lamp.
Samsung Projection TV Model # is PCK5315R. It displays a light on the "timer" indicator on front of the TV but the TV doesn't respond, no picture or sound.
