Another way would be to study the wiring as it is pretty standard. The video may help.

You may be able to freeze this video to note the wiring, although this only shows the thermostat wiring and is a bit fuzzy. Also an refrigeration appliance technician would know the wiring by heart and take 20 minutes maximum to work it out.

Great question but I cannot answer it. GE makes several models of chest freezers and they are not all wired the same. My eyesight is not to good and I cannot see your freezer so I cannot answer your question. You might try our friend google and look for the make and model of your freezer with the prefix schematic.

As it is tripping the supply (RCD or MCB?) since being repaired you should complain bitterly to the repairer.

check thermostat, or relay on one side or back cclose to the compressor area there is a removable lid. removed and look for a thermostat disconect the 2 wires and bridge them then plug the the freezer on if runs replace the temp thermostat for a new one should be freezer thermostat

There are only three wires, aren't there? One is a safety earth, probably green or green and yellow. It goes on the spade attached to the metal of the thermostat body. The other two are a live and switched live. They go on the two spades that come out the plastic body. If there happens to be a third, it will be an alarm signal wire. Connect in any order you like. If the compressor comes on and the signal light, all is well. If the signal light does not come on, and the compressor switches off at -12c swap 2 of them. If none of this happens, switch 2 of them.

If your freezer is Model: 25316082100 then this is the harness you need.

The green wire is a safety ground and will attach to the body of your freezer somewhere not far from the thermostat. It really does not matter where it attaches as long as it is a clean piece of metal. Here is a link to a wiring diagram but it is not showing the green wire. HERE

Sorry to read about your problem. you can have many different problems.

a wiring diagram will not help you in this case. all 3 items below at at the compressor.
odds are you will have to have the compressor replaced.

1. Failing compressor
2. Defective start cap
3. Defective overload protector

Doesn't matter thermostat is just a switch operated by temperature.
