I turn on my Tv and it stays on for about 40 seconds and turns back off for 40 seconds then turns back on. It will continue this way as long as you keep the TV on. The green indicator light stays on during the whole cycle no blinking occures. I've had this TV since dec 03' have had several bulbs replace and the block blog replace. Called Sony and was told that it needed service no know problems. I called a service center and was told two possible problems: replace the bulb or replace the ballist. Could you please help? Oh I did try replacing the bulb but when I put the new bulb in it worked for about 10 hours and Now back to the same issue in the begining.
It is possible that the ballust assembly is causing the lamp to fail. You likely need to replaced the ballust with a new lamp because if the ballust is bad it has likely already damaged the lamp. If you have been handling the glass of the new lamps with your bare hands this could be the cause of the short lif as the oil from your hands will cause premature failure of the lamp.

yes i do!! The green light flashes set comes back on after 10 to 15 seconds
I called my cable company & expect it to be the Box or maybe the cable feed
from outside.. This is very upsetting the set is not even 2 years old!!!
What should i do???
