To print on cardstock:

- Load the cardstock paper in the paper tray and make sure the fences are snug but not too tight.
- Press Menu.
- Scroll down to find Paper Input and select it.
- Select Paper Type.
- Select Tray 1.
- Scroll to find "cardstock" on the list and select it.

You'll also have to set your print driver for cardstock or auto select, because if the print driver shows plain paper and the printer shows cardstock paper, you'll get a mismatch error.

I have a Ricoh Aficio CL2000N Laser Printer and it is displaying an error message, which reads, SC 846 Power off on. What can I do to resolve the problem?

SC846 is not a code listed in the service manual... are you sure you are reading it right?

Try turning the machine off, unplugging it for 30 seconds, and turning it back on. Any luck?

My Ricoh Aficio CL2000N is printing several faint lines

Couple possibilities:
Fuser hot belt has wear lines transfering to the page
Black pcu needs to be replaced
Transfer unit is not being cleaned properly and needs to be replaced.
Remove each of these assy and inspect them for wear or lines that corespond to the lines on your prints.

Ricoh CL2000N always have to press go for every print

You must have a "special paper" size set in the tray other than "plain", or perhaps the wrong size, so the printer needs you to override the setting. Check the settings. You can find out how on pages 24, 25 of the "operating guide". Go to the following web page to download it -just select your model from the drop down list:

Black lines (streaks) printing on left of page on my ricoh 2000n

Running cardstock lightly misted with water or dilute cleaning solution through several times can help. Use either the feed button or print using a program that allows you to print blank pages.
