Won't unlock I unknowingly had a fuse blow and my washer stopped in the middle of a load. I did not know why it stopped working at the time and got frustrated and jerked the door open causing the screws to come off but the thing that locks in from the door is still in there. So, it is saying it is still locked and no matter what I try I can't get it to come unlocked so that I can screw the thing back in the door. What can I do?

The thermal fuse is not working and there could be an over heating issue going on and your washing machine will not be able to work again unless the thermal fuse has been replaced.
My problem is similar to one posted top. My HE Kenmore washer stopped in the middle of the cycle. I repaired the latch lock, thinking that would solve my problem, but now it will start the cycle, and stall at the rinse setting. I have to physically set it to rinse and spin, and sometimes that doesn't even work. Washer will be two years old this August. I have NEVER had a problem with a Sears washer, and I am VERY disappointed in this one. My last two gave me twenty years of service without a repair. Maybe Sears needs to go back to making theirs in the USA.
No if doesnt rule out the lid switch yet in fact that very likely is the problem, the lid switch asm. is wired through a fuse that if lid switch is bad the fuse will blow and in addation to the fuse being wired to the lid switch,it too is wired to the water inlet valve and will not fill if the fuse on lid switch asm. is blown I know this by replacing more lid switch/fuse assamblies in 30 year appliance repair career that i can remember. I dare say (by assumption) that the tech that came to diagnose your washer gave you the exact correct diagnosis
Here is an idea, when do you blow the fuse key on, key on engine running, key on engine running hitting the break pedal? Try and get the key on without blowing fuse if possible, then one at a time try those circuit loads ie: horn, brake pedal and so on, if you isolate which load is pulling to many amps(blowing fuse) unplug that load itself, then restart testing, see if fuse stays ok. You can also substitue the fuse with a circuit breaker and unplug each load until click(of breaker) stops.
It doesn't work at allIf your washer doesn't seem to work at all, check these: No powerLid switchNo powerCheck to see whether power is getting to the washing machine. Is it plugged in? Has a fuse blown or is a circuit breaker tripped?Lid switchIf the lid switch is defective, your washer can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washer to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it. Some machines have a special lid-switch fuse near the lid switch, inside the control panel. If this fuse blows, the unit won't fill with water until you replace the fuse.
Try taking the top of the machine off and checking all of the electrical connections, including the one to the door lock. I have to do this about once a month with my machine and it seems to work.
I HAVE A KENMORE ELITE WASHER AND IT STOPS IN THEN MIDDLE OF THE CYCLE AND DOESN'T RISNSE. THE DISPLAYS SHOWS F21. CAN YOU LET ME KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS?
