You
can try to run the software in compatibility mode, which means that you
can tell Windows 7 to run the software as if it was any previous
version of Windows. To do this, browse to the setup.exe or install.exe
file on the disk, right-click and select "Properties". Go to the
"Compatibility" Tab, tick the box and select a previous version of
Windows - the back of the CD Case will tell you which is the best
version.
There should be a setup.exe or install.bat file located usually at the root folder, if installation doesn't start automatically, maybe you have disabled auto play for your CD/DVD drive, to enable it, please go to control panel, look for Auto Play feature and select the action to take according to your disk type (data, media).
Are you sure that's the correct startup file? Look for setup.exe or right click on Autorun and select run. You should be able to select the install directory if you want.
What have you tried to install the software. I have found that many software CD's or DVD's need to simply be opened by right-clicking on the drive's icon and selecting the 'Explore' option. When the disc icons are shown, select the Setup.exe or Autorun.exe and the software will install. If after installing the software doesn't run, try running it in compatibillity mode for Windows XP.
Hello. Go to www.sonyericsson.com. There you should get a splash screen, just choose your region, and country. After that, click on support, choose your device and click on software and setup. Is the CD ROM recognized in 'My Computer'?
Are other CDs able to run?
If not, ununstall CD ROM drivers, shutdown and restart, CD drive should then self install.
