SOURCE: hoover ultra care 1500 large load machine CYCLE IS TAKING HOURS TO FINISH
Hi Frank,
Went through this a couple of time. Two things, at different times. First is it draining? If it is, then check the motot brushes. They cost about £25 and take twenty minutes to replace. Mine failed at three years.
If it's not draining, then their is probably a blockage at the drain pump. Anything bigger than twenty pence coin could do it. Again, easy to do, just do it outside near a drain.

The most common cause of machines stopping mid cycle is not draining. Your machine should have a filter behind the kick plate at the bottom.
If this is not the case please post back for further assistance.

Checkout your filter at the bottom of the machine, undo the bottom flap below the door, front. Plug off the wall mains socket. Be prepared for a lot of water so keep plastic bag, towels ready. Unscrew the plug you see to make water flow into bag; when all water has been disposed off, clean this filter & inside, refit carefully.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry but with such a fault it is impossible for anybody on this forum to remotely guess what is wrong with your washer. It could be internal wiring/plugs sockets, control panel switches, control PCB or anything else in the washer ;-0(
I fear that your only real option is a service call as the engineer will have the right equipment to safely diagnose what is wrong.
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!
