Mcdevito75 here, The stem on your Timex shou;ld have two (2) positions, slip a finger nail just under the crown and gently lift to the first position, it may take a little practice to get but you will. In this first position you"ll see by turning the crown one way you can change the date (number) and turning in the other direction you can change the month or day, if so, set the day and date to one (1) day before the day and date you want. Push the stem back in and lift the stem all the way to set the time of day, now cycle thru the watches 24 hours to set the day and date you want. Your Timex is now set and will change at the proper time of around midnite. If your Timex has the month and day you may have to cycle the 24 hours to reach the correct month other than that these instructions should help.

How do you set the month and date

To set the month and date on a device, you will need to follow the specific instructions for that device. The steps may vary depending on the type of device you are using (e.g., a computer, smartphone, digital watch, etc.) and the operating system or software it is using.
Here are a few general steps you can follow to set the month and date on a device:
  1. Locate the settings menu for the device. This is usually accessed through an icon or menu option labeled "settings," "options," or something similar.
  2. In the settings menu, look for an option related to the date and time. This option may be labeled "date and time," "clock," or something similar.
  3. Select the option to set the date and time. This will usually open a window or menu where you can enter the current month, day, and year.
  4. Use the provided fields or menus to enter the current month, day, and year. You may need to use drop-down menus or arrow buttons to navigate through the options.
  5. Once you have entered the correct month, day, and year, save your changes and exit the settings menu. The device should now be set to the correct date.

HOW TO SET DAY / DATE ON AN ANALOG (STEM) WATCH

mcdevito75 here, Over Forty (40) years ago, watch manufactures added, to some of their ANALOG (wind up) and almost all of their DIGITAL (button display) watches the FEATURE of the, MONTH or DAY of the WEEK and the DATE, not only was the time of day available but also the DATE which you no longer had to go searching for, it was readily available on your wrist. The PROBLEM came with SETTING the CORRECT MONTH or DAY of the week and the DATE as some MONTHS HAD 31 DAYS rather than 30 DAYS, this meant you had to CYCLE your watch at least 62 times to get to the CORRECT DATE and mant times, when you finally did reach the CORRECT DATE, the day of the week was off, meaning more CYCLES thru the 24 hours.-------- HERE is the EASY way to SET the MONTH or DAY / DATE on your QUARTZ / MECHANICAL (STEM) watch without haveing to go thru the 24 hour cycle so many, many times. Not only is this, WEAR on your fingers, you can also damage your watch with some many cycles of the 24 hours to SET the correct MONTH or DAY / DATE. ------ HERE ARE THE BASICS,---------- Your ANALOG or STEM watch either QUARTZ or MECHANICAL should have a TWO (2) position STEM we are only familiar with the ONE (1) position we use to set the TIME, there should be TWO (2) positions to the STEM. First pull out the STEM to adjust the MONTH or DAY depending on your watches display, if your watch DISPLAYs the DAY of the week, set the DAY to one (1) DAY before the DAY you want, don"t worry about the DATE (number) yet. Once you have the MONTH or DAY set, push the STEM back into the watch, NOW with a finger nail just under the STEM (usually from the back of the stem as there is more room) gently lift the STEM to it"s first position, It may take some practice so be patient, once the STEM is in it"s first position you should be able to turn the STEM to adjust the DATE (number), if so Adust the DATE (number) to ONE (1) DATE before the DATE you want, This way your watch will be adjusted to change the DAY / DATE at the correct time. Once you have the DATE (number) adjusted to ONE (1) DATE before the DATE you want, push the STEM back into the watch, NOW pull the STEM out to adjust the time, go thru the 24 hour cycle to adjust to the correct DAY DATE (number) and time of day.------------ Your QUARTZ or MECHANICAL (stem) watch is now adjusted to the correct DAY / DATE and will change at the correct hour which is generally 12--1 AM.

I have a etica watch au9101 I don't know how to set the month and if it takes a battery when i got the only thing I got was a 5 year warranty card with ( no owner manual) Thank you

As I can see from the picture here:http://www.etica.ch/banner/AU9101.jpg your watch do not need a battery as it is automatic/selfwinding mechanical watch. There are two push buttons on the side. One of them is for month setting and another one for day setting. Use small pin or ball point pen to push them. Try both and you will see which one is for the month and which for the day setting. Push repeatedly until the desired month and day is set. Date in small window can be set by winding crown. Pull out crown half way out and set the date, then pull out crown further out to the time setting position and set the correct time. Push the crown back in and wind it back and forth at least 15 times to start the watch going. Before you start any of adjustments, set the time to 5.30 (am or pm - doesn't matter). It will prevent accidental damage of day/date/month mechanism. Rate me, plz.

Day and date not synchronized with actual day and date

The watch does not have a "perpetual" clock so it does not know what month it is in. It will treat every month as a 31 day month, so you will have to re-set the date anytime a month is not 31 days.

If you appreciate me answering this for you then please rank this solution as "fixya" or at least "helpful" as what I have said will solve your problem. :-)

Anne Klein chronograph watch

The button advances the numeric day. After the numeric day is advanced one full month, the month dial advances to the next month. I just about got a blister pressing the button enough times to advance the month from January all the way around to December. Then I had to advance the numeric day to the current numeric day. The previous person told you by turning the dial 24 hours you can advance the alphabetic day of the week by one day (Sun, Mon,etc.).
