Ricoh Aficio 1013 All-In-One Laser Printer Logo

Ricoh Aficio 1013f is duplicating print under each line. Happens on copying, printing and faxing. Have changed process drum unit twice in the last year, fuser unit and had unit cleaned. Was better for about 2 months (6000 copies) after fuser unit changed but started again with a toner cartridge change. Gets progressivly worse. Can the toner cartridge holder be defective and cause this problem?

What type of environment is this copier in? Standard office, warehouse, etc. If the temperature in the area fluctuates a lot, that could have something to do with your problem. Usually ghosting problems like that originate in the fuser. Try increasing or decreasing the fuser temperature to see if that fixes the issue.

Ricoh aficio 1800 .why copies are now black lines appear from top to bottom?

I guess you talk about Ricoh MP 1800.
The Black lines on the bottom appear because the copier has made more than 60,000 prints or more if new.
If it's bought used, than it has made 60,000 or more prints from the last change of the drum and the drum cleaning blade. For the print to be clean again, it will need to be changed the drum and drum cleaning blade. This copier as all other copiers have parts that have a yield.

Duplicate print below each line on copies/printing/fax, changed fuser unit and drum unit and had cleaned. Seems to happen after toner changes, can the toner cartridge holder be defective and cause this...

Try to stop the copier (by jamming a sensor or opening a cover) mid-way through the printing cycle. Remove the 1/2 copied document out from the drum area. Look to see if you have the double printing. This will eliminate the fuser as the problem. If you don't have the double printing then the fuser's cleaning roller may be shot causing repeat image. If it is in the drum area it will be hard to determine since you already replaced the drum(?). But there is a "cleaning" lamp or charge wire on the drum to check.

My Ricoh Aicio 1013F is showing a duplicate shadow on the copy.

This is almost always the hot roller and/or the pressure roller bushings in the fusing unit. The Hot roller in this model is rated for 90,000 copies, but they commonly fail earlier than that. The pressure roller bushings also wear as they are made of plastic. If you can drag your finger across one of your copies, and the toner doesn't stick to the paper, then you definitely need bushings.

Check how many copies you have by press the "user tools/counter" button in the upper left of the control panel. You should see the word "counter" on the display. Press the "OK" button near the display; this will show you your copy count. If you are near the 75 to 80,000 mark (or multiples there of [150- to 160,000, etc.]), I'd say it's time to replace the hot roller.

Unless you are certified to work on these machines, you would need to get a service technician to do this. These particular machines are more difficult than some of the larger models, and I definitely would not suggest anybody try this repair unless they know exactly what they are doing.

How can I print from Tray 2 on Ricoh Aficio 1013F

It needs to be added within the printer driver.
In The Printers/faxes dialog box, "right click" the "Aficio 1013F", click "properties" click the "accessories" (or "change accessories") button, and add tray 2 as an option, Click "apply", and exit the utility, now you can manually select tray 2 when printing.

Print quality

Ghosting can :
1-prints on the fuser roller, check if yes try cleaning it off, wait until it cools off

2-blanking lamps dirty or not working,(deletes image off the drum, before it gets ready to accept a new one)

BL mirror-(new image)

drum

3-Bad drum (although I doubt it this far in the process.)

Ricoh 1018

possibly the process unit and if you look in through the right hand door you can see the drum ...or it could come from a worn out upper heat roller.

Printing faint lines with fine corresponding creases on drum

You probably can not repair it. I will say this though, be careful to get the right labels for it.
