  • Anonymous May 16, 2018

Put a small weight on the keys and leave it there for a day or two. The organ must be off. This may work and has worked for me. I have now idea why.

This is likely a dirty contact thing... FIRST excersize them a bit to see if they come back.

Else you will have to clean them... If they are conductive rubber type, clean the board and the rubber contact pilss with 99% isoprophyl alcohol and Q tips.

Testimonial: "Thanks cobber. Will try to clean them as you suggest Thanks for your prompt response. MG"

I have an old Lowry organ I love, but all of the F keys stopped playing

Hello, Lucy -

The problem with all the F keys on your Lowrey organ is probably an electrical one.

I have no idea where you reside, so I cannot search for a repair service in your area for your Lowrey organ.

I suggest you take your question to an online discussion forum focusing on organs.

The Organ Forum is one:

and

How do add songs to the song bank on my Casio LK-30 keyboard?

You can't add songs to the LK-30 song bank. I suspect you would need to take apart the keyboard and replace the ROM (read-only memory) chip to get a different song collection.

Most Casio electronic instrument manuals are available from http://support.casio.com/en/manual/manual.php?cid=008 . However, I found the LK-30 manual at manualslib.com: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/358460/Casio-Lk-30.html .

I wish that I had better news for you.

Why lower keys dont come on , on a kimball model 700-775

I think you are speaking of an organ.
Your organ has electronics inside it, and I believe the circuit board for the lower keys has a broken connection.
You should find an electronic organ repair place.
I just looked online and found several places.
Since you may be near to none of these, relay on your computer to find someone who can repair this circuit board.
They will have to tell you how to take it out of your unit.
God bless your efforts.

I believe organ hasn't been played or even turned on in over 10 years. The top keyboard plays if I turn on a setting such as piano or trumpet however I can't just get the organ keys to play.

Since the organ has not been used for a long time, I suspect that there can be degradation of the electronics, specially with electrolytic capacitors. hence I request you to switch on the Organ continuously and allow it to warm up, it there is improvement , then it will be worth to remove the bottom panel and clean up the boards, dry the PCB with a hair dryer and reconnect the boards.
Hope this will help.

QS8 keyboard. Why is volume in organ mode much louder than piano mode when I switch between modes without touching volume slide?

On organ mode, in general, almost all brands of the modern keyboard, velocity setting is not enabled. Setting velocity is used to determine how much the level of the sound that follows how strongly you press the keys. It is really just to imitate the sound of vintage organs, which in the past, electronic organ technologi not use the velocity on the keys. So, how strong / slow we press the keys, the sound level will remain the same.
At the Piano mode, modern keyboard using setting velocity. This also to imitate an acoustic piano, which, if we press the keys slowly, the sound level will be slow as well, and vice versa.
So, in your case,at the same volume slider, try to play on the organ modes, note level. Moving to the piano mode and press the keys securely powered (full power). Then the sound level should be equal to the organ mode.
On modern keyboards, also included organ sound that added velocity setting. Usually found on the user bank.
