Remote good but will not work with Westinghouse LTV 32w1

This is the problem with universal remotes; either they will not program for a specific model or key features are missing;

To my knowledge Westinghouse is no longer in business.

hi, it could be either 1 of 2 things.
1.remote is faulty, if the remote used to work but now doesntand you are sure the batteries are good, its probably not that.
2. a faulty IR / Remote Control Sensor Board . very common problem with an easy cheap replacement. here is a link to one for $20, just remove the back of the tv and remove and replace the new board. be careful when working inside the tv, lots of fragile things in there!

in this case i have to know if your tuner is working fine or not. First of all i like you to connect any external player Exp. DVD or blue-ray player if that works with audio then it is inverter board. if audio doesn't work then its main board. Also you will find out that if dvd is working fine on your tv than your tv setting is wrong or the tunes is dead. either way if tuner is gone then you have to change the main board. Either way let me know what went wrong i can provide you more information about what part need and where can you get it from.

try unplugging tv to reset it,leave it off for a minute,and then plug in

The learn function is for pulling comands off the old remote, you might try the pre programed code for the tv. If that does not work you can go to a local tv shop that has wstinghouse and pull your codes off that

take your remote very close to am radio & press the buttons if there is no reception on the radio, change ur remote

When it asks you to enter the code for your tv use 10178
