There is a button on the base unit labeled answer on. Right next to is a light that indicates whether the answerer is on.
If what you are trying to do is stop the playback of messages, press the stop button. It has a square. If you want to resume playback, press the play button. It has a right pointing triangle. There are other buttons and they are also labeled like on a standard recording device for if you want to skip ahead orback.

Alpine ine-s920hd keeps shutting off after a few minutes of starting the truck and i also noticed my backup camera is really dark. Help.

If your Alpine INE-S920HD head unit keeps shutting off after a few minutes of starting the truck and your backup camera appears dark, it could indicate a power or wiring issue. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:
Check the power connections: Ensure that the head unit's power and ground connections are secure and properly connected. Make sure there are no loose or damaged wires. Check the fuse for the head unit to ensure it is not blown.
Verify the power source: Confirm that the power source you are using for the head unit is stable and providing sufficient voltage. Consider checking the vehicle's battery and alternator to ensure they are in good working condition.
Inspect the wiring for the backup camera: Check the wiring connections for the backup camera, including the power and video cables. Ensure that they are securely connected and not damaged. A loose or faulty connection could cause the camera to appear dark.
Adjust camera settings: The dark image from the backup camera could also be due to incorrect camera settings. Check the settings menu on the head unit to adjust the brightness, contrast, or other image-related settings for the backup camera.
Reset the head unit: Perform a factory reset on the Alpine INE-S920HD head unit. Refer to the user manual or contact Alpine customer support for specific instructions on how to reset the head unit.

I have a jl 500/1 . The distribution block is lit showing 12v plus. no green power light on the amp? I disconnected pwr and ground and reconnected. the green light came on for 10 seconds and shut off. all...

The amplifier will not power on unless/until it recieves the turn-on signal from the head unit.

It seems the issue is with the head unit in this case.

Check the fuses and verify constant and switched power with a multimeter.

Once the Head unit powers on - the amplifier should also.

I have a Sony CDX-L550 head unit in my car but this morning when I started the car I turned the volume up nothing happened so I kept turning it up until suddenly it blared out and the whole unit shut down...

You may have damages a mosfet on the internal amplifier if all the fuses check out.
There will still be power to the unit, but the internal amplifier will not work.

Blaupunkt montreal cd 34 Sound Shutoff

I don't think it has a low wattage setting. Have you tried hooking up another deck to see if the problem carries over to the second head unit. Most usually when a head unit shuts off like that, you first worry is true. Are you using the factory wiring in the vehicle?? May I also suggest pulling the head unit out and hooking up all four channels using after market wiring. By using this troubleshooting method is would give you a definate answer on your wiring problem. If The problem persist, then it could be the head unit itself is going bad. Also, one last thing, even if you think the speakers are fine, if one of the speakers is malfunctioning, then it would also cause the player to kick into safe mode.

Amp shuts off when switched from radio to cd

your amps rem wire is hooked to the power antenna wire on your head unit and so when you turn off the radio you would nolonger need an antenna so it powers down and would lower the antenna.Depending on the head unit you should have one output for the power antenna and one for the amp rem......If your head unit doesn't have the rem output you can wire it to the switched wire that powers your head unit but keep in mind the amp will stay on while you have the key in acc or run position even if your head unit is off.
hope this helps!
