I have a RCA 36v430t tv i just got from someone i was watching a movie it just went off could it be a fuse

There are shorted component/s on the main board of the TV. Check the horizontal output section for fault.

Does it only happen when you use your Xbox?

do you have and big sound system if you do the move them away from youur tv. or you sould just bring it to a shop it must be the picture tube

I had the same problem yesterday. My wife's uncle is a tv repairman for a major electronics chain. He came by last night and had a look at it. It turned out to be a very inexpensive transformer that went bad. The part itself is only a few bucks. Hope this helps and its not too late.

Jo have you plugged in the Audio and Video cable in correctly. You need to check that the Video cable is in the corresponding input on the TV

If the fuses are good and the on indicator lights you could have a short in the power supply, the high voltage section or just about any part of the circuitry. The most common problem is the high voltage. If you know TV safety and how to check transistors, unplug the unit and check the horizontal output transistor. If it is shorted replace the transistor, flyback and HV divider. If this does not solve the problem you will probably need a repair tech as this symptom could be a short anywhere in the unit.
