How do I reduce the number of rings before VM picks up?

Hello, Maureen -

If you are asking about your land line telephone, the number of rings before voice mail picks up calls is most likely a feature through your land line phone service.

I suggest you contact your land line phone service customer service center, via a phone call, and ask your question.

I have had a land line installed in my new residence in Plettenberg bay Western Cape There is SEVERE crackling noise on the line and can't be used. Please help

Hello, Michael -

First, please use the Edit feature and remove your land line and cell phone number, along with your address and name from the question. All that information will be a gold mine to someone wanting to commit ***** and identity theft.

Then, contact the business/person who installed your land line phone (make a phone call), explain the problem, and ask for a repair technician to come to your home and make whatever repairs are needed.

Best wishes.

How often is usage updated?

Your exact usage will be detailed on your monthly bill.

Why can't I see my usage?

If you can't see your service in the My Services list:
  • Have you linked the service to the My Account profile that you're logging into?
  • Have you logged in using a service number rather than your My Account username?
  • Is the service eligible for My Account linking?
Your usage information can take up 24-48 hours to show, if:

Your phone must be setup to make calls using data. In the old days of UNLIMITED data, this was a good idea. It no longer is. check these:
* Make sure your data is disabled when making a phone call. See if this lowers your data usage.
* If you have another program installed to make phone calls (like Google Voice) make sure to check the settings are NOT set to make phoe calls using data. You can also try uninstalling the program. You can always re-install.

On the Land line phone, dial *72 then you should hear the dial tone again. Enter the 10 digit cell phone number that you want the land line call to go to, hang the phone back up.

2 land lines into 1 ansaphone

Any multi-line answering machine should serve your purposes. Since you declined to specify the country, I'm afraid I can't recommend any particular units.
Diverting calls to a mobile or other phone is a feature of your landline company, not of any particular phone. Please contact your telephone company for details on call forwarding.

I can't make calls directly from my BB8120 phone book because it adds +1 infront of the numbers. This phone is a T-Mobile phone bought in US and unlocked and sent to India

Hi , I think to make local calls you will have to add +91+ mobile no eg: 91XXXXXXXXXX in front of the mobile no. In order to make a call to land line you will have to add the city code + land line no . eg: If you want to call Hyderabad , the no will be like 040XXXXXXXX . To make a call to mobile no in other city add 0 in front of the mobile no eg : 0XXXXXXXXXX .
