Yellow ink not coming thru

Recently, I noticed that the yellow ink is not showing on printed documents. I bought new ink and tried to fill it today, but it was already full (as was blue and magenta). I have tested it again and it's not coming thru at all (my green text is blue, red is magenta, etc.). How can I check to see if something is plugged? Cartridge seems just fine, about 6 months old and I only print occasionally. HP Deskjet 722C and #23 cartridge. Thank you.

The ink jet is block this happens when you don't you your printer for a long time or you use the genetic cartridge. What you could do is disassemble the printer head and use hot water to clean it out. Good luck

The yellow print head is clogged or you are out of yellow ink. You can try to get it flowing with a warm wet paper towel by rubbing and and pressing it into the towel.

Color

Recheck the placement of the ink cartridges. The black ink cartridge is larger; the cyan, magenta, yellow cartridges are all the same size.

When the ink cartridges were replaced, two or more may have been inadvertently switched or an extra yellow cartridge placed in.

Cannot get yellow to print

I had the same problem with the yellow cartridge. Yellow quit printing, put in a new yellow and still would not print yellow. I had a help file, don't know where I got it, but it suggested replacing the black ink cartridge also, even though the black wasn't low yet. Replaced the black, ran a few nozzle cleans and everything worked fine. Don't know why. Try it
