Hello,

The filter status display will help you know when to change your
water filter. When the display reads 10%, order a new filter. It is
recommended that you replace the filter when the display reads 10% OR when water flow to your water dispenser or ice maker decreases.

The filter should be replaced at least every 6 months depending on your water quality and usage.

Step 2
Press the eject button to release the filter from the base grille.

Step 3
Pull the filter straight out.

Step 4

Turn the cap counterclockwise to remove it from the filter. IMPORTANT: Do not discard the cap. It is part of your refrigerator. Keep the cap to use with the replacement filter.

Step 5
Align the ridge on the cap with the arrow on the new filter and
turn the cap until it snaps into place.

Step 6
Remove the protective covers from the O-rings. Be sure the O-rings are still in place after the covers are removed.

Step 7
Push the filter into the base grille. The eject button will pop back out when the filter is fully engaged.

Step 8
Flush the water system. Use a sturdy cup or glass. Depress and hold the
water dispenser lever for 5 seconds, then release it for 5 seconds. Repeat this process until water begins to flow. Once water begins to flow, continue depressing and releasing the dispenser lever. Hold down for 5 seconds and then release for 5 seconds. Do this on/off process for about 2 minutes. This will flush air from the filter and water dispensing system.

Hope this helps...

Filter for UltraEase water filtration system?

This may not be the problem now but by the sound of the malfunctioning water lines etc., it could be in the future. The start device on some models of refridgerator for maytag and whirlpool have been recalled. If your appliance was manufactured in the last 5-10 years you may be having an issue with this component. Mine recently caught on fire at this device that is located near the compressor. If you would like to be a part of the petition for a recall on this appliance contact me at [email protected]

Water dispenser stopped working after changing filter

There is a built in system of valves on the filter connections that enable changing filters without turning off the water. IF the filters are not fully connected the valves wont open and there wont be any water flow. .

Whirlpool ultraease warm on left side, dispenses warm water

not dangerous, i would recommend vacuuming coils under and behind refrig, make sure the fan behind the unit( cooling for compressor) is running full speed. the water is probably "warmer" then usual because the waterline runs across the bottom of the refrig, which appears to be overheating as it is. this should rectify your issue

Whirlpool icemaker not working

the refrigerator has a duel water valve, one for the ice-maker and one for the water dispenser. the valve that the ice-maker relies on may be bad, or it could be the ice-maker itself.
another thing that could cause it would be the temperatures in the freezer. the ice-maker will not call for water until it reaches under 15 degrees.
