How to find ink levels in hp932c printer

Print Cartridge Status The Print Cartridge Status Light flashes when one or both of your print cartridges are low on ink, improperly installed, or malfunctioning. It will also flash if you are trying to use the wrong print cartridge type. If the problem is low ink, the light will stop flashing when you open the top cover. For any other print cartridge-related problem, the Print Cartridge Status Light will continue to flash. To check the status of your print cartridges, open the printer's top cover. The yellow arrow on the print cartridge cradle aligns with one of five Print Cartridge Status icons.

How do i check the ink levels in the cartridge?

One of two ways. If the status monitor (in the lower right-hand corner of the screen) is open, double click it and it should display the ink status in that window. If the status monitor is not open, open your printer folder, right-click on the printer icon and select properties. Then in the next window, select the Maintainence tab and select "start status monitor" at the bottom. This will start the status monitor and display the ink levels. Ink levels displayed are only estimates though, as there are no sensors in this model. You should use the cartridges until you see print defects, in order to get your money's worth out of them.

Epson RX425 Ink Cartridge problem

First make sure you are placing the right
color cartridge into the right slot.
Most Printers are touchy about the
installation of ink cartridges. If the
instructions say to press the cartridge
into the slot until you hear a loud click,
that's what they mean. If at first you
don't succeed, remove the cartridge and
reinsert it into the slot again and press
on it hard till it clicks.
Then your printer should work properly.
Hope this is of some help. Bud

Hi:
If you open the door on the top of the printer, while it is powered on, the ink cartridges will move to a spot that shows you the status of your ink.. There are little cartoon pictures of the cartridges with smiles or frowns to tell you if you have an empty color or black cartridge.

Ink settings

Have you made sure you removed the backing plastic from the cartridge sensor?
Try reinstalling the driver and do a nozzle and head alignment test. If you still have the same issue, try doing a hard reset - unplug the printer from power and PC, wait for about 10 minutes and replug everything and see. If the issue still occurs, there could be an issue with the cartridge sensor on your printer, which will require servicing.

New HL-5240 printer red status light upon powering up

My HL-5240 did the same thing, Here is what I found:

Look at the back of the printer. Pull down the back cover. Look to the right and the left of the exposed internals of the printer and there should be another handle/knob you can pull down. Pull these both down simultaneously and check to make sure there isn't a piece of paper in there! This was a shock to me! My office printer was held up for days until I found this hidden door in the back! I felt like an idiot that it was from a stupid paper jam!
