Hi just read your posting. Now what water temp have you selected for wash?Is it cold, warm, or hot?Sounds like a water flow problem to me.The water valves on your model of machine sometimes sound like they are filling correctly but they only let a little bit of water in.How long does it take to fill your machine and start agitating when you have selected low water level? Please reply with additional information and I am sure I can help you rectify this fault.Looking forward to your reply.

Cold water not pulling into Fisher & Paykel 5.5kg Smart Drive Pride.

Either the cold water inlet solenoid has failed or there is a fault with the electronic control module, Unfortunately the only way to find out is to replace the cold water solenoid and see if it works, if it doesn't then the electronic control board is faulty.

Washing machine cycle far too long

Hi Fiona.I believe the cold valve is probably faulty & is not flowing fast Its probably dribbling water in?taking forever to fill.the machine should be giving up & beeping at you if thats the case.If you have a faulty cold valve then switching to warm won't help as the hot valve will close itself off to compensate for the lack of cold water..afterall you have told the machine to fill with warm,,if it cant make warm water because of a faulty cold valve then the hot will decrease to a point where its not letting any water thru..try a hot only wash..if it goes thru wash cycle ok then good chance its cold valve problem.wow i hope that helped.

Is there a filter on the smart drive 051- my washing is coming out with dirty black marks

if the black marks come out then it is lint. put 2 pkts bicarb soda into empty bowl, select hot fill, select high water, start cycle. let it wash for 10 min"s , turn machine off, leave overnight. restart cycle in the morning, that should clean tank and bowl. please reply 4 more help.

Intermittent water flow interupted by solenoids pulsing

I've got the same problem. If I pause the cycle, wait about 10 seconds, and then resume, the water starts normally. I suspect the Cold Water Inlet Solenoid is sticking, probably due to water sediment in the solenoid causing it to stick. I'll try cleaning it and then replace if that doesn't help and let you know what happens.

When filling my F&Paykel washer the water is not a constant flow, it is filling in 'spurts', ie stop/start/stop/start etc...... I have tried cold, hot & warm water, all combinations of temp are...

You most likely have a smart water temp sensor on your machine. It makes sure you have the proper water temp to dissolve your detergent. Even when set to cold, it will add some hot water. It sounds like your machine is working properly. If you feel you are haveing a problem check the water temperatures in your owners manual and then check them with a thermomater in the washer. If they are not correct you may have a bad temperature sensor. Good Luck and I hope this helped. [email protected]

F&P Smart drive 9

I had the same problem.

You probably only have cold water connected and you need to "program" it for cold water only.

By default it expects both cold and hot water connected and even though you can select "cold" it will still error if not hot water supply is present.

Call Fisher & Paykel customer care and they will tell you how to re-code it for cold only.
