Try disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall
the CD software program. When the program asks you to connect the
camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud

There
are a number of things that can cause the computer or the camera to freeze
up or slow down. First
I’d check to see how much memory is installed in the computer.
It takes additional memory to operate the camera.
Hope
this helps. Bud
well, i finally found the website for logitech and found an article on there from a tech guy, (i guess that is what he does) the article was titled, "How to make your logitech camera work in an im." when i read that i followed the instructions and know it is not my cam, but the messenger i was using. i don't know what to do about that because it is yahoo and there support is NILL!!!!!!, i repeat NILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it takes some finding (the article) but it says to try your cam for 5 minutes making a video from quick capture. if it works ok then it is the website and not the cam. may i say yahoo stinks! also he said that it is 99% of the time the website is the problem. not a quote. hope this helps someone out there that is having the same trouble.
