Usually when generators do that it is because they were hooked up to too great of a load and that took out the diodes...

Hi Felicia,If the generator has sat for a long time and you are sure that the breakers on the generator are not tripped, flashing the generator might bring it back to life. The electric drill method is the easiest way to do it. If you click on the link that I have provided, they give a very detailed explanation on how to re magnetize a dead generator.
